The Loophole

A/N: The finale of season one.

I was walking with Hope.

I look at her. "Hey, we got this. Okay?" I tilt her chin up, so she looks at me.

She nods and smiles. "It should be easy. You, me... the others."

"'Others'?"

She nods. "Well, the squad answered the Bat-signal."

Hope motions over to the side, where I see Kaleb, Jed, Josie, and Lydia walk over.

"Is this a superhero lineup?" Void jokes, before realizing Lydia is there. "Wait a minute! Y/N stop our sisters."

"Why is she coming?" I look at my short mate.

Apparently, Lizzie walked up from behind us and she looks at Josie. "She's coming?" They both say at the same time.

Hope looks at me. "Lydia's your sister." She looks at the twins. "And we need all the help we can get."

I turn Hope's chin to face me. "Her being my sister is the exact reason, she shouldn't come."

Lydia scoffs. "I'm not a child. It's a bit soon to play the over-protective brother card."

Hope grabs my arm. "Can I deal with one sibling squabble at a time?"

I give her a small nod. "Yeah."

"Thank you." She turns to the twins. "For the time being, until this problem is settled, can you two put your twin war on a pause?"

They both reluctantly nod.

Hope looks at Lydia and I. "You both are incredibly strong. You're both demigods."

Jed, Kaleb and the twins look shocked. "What?"

I tilt my head. "That ain't come out yet?" I think for a second. "Oh yeah, only Alaric knew. Yeah we are the children of Hades, Greek god of the underworld."

Before more can be said, Rafael walks up. "Hey, Hope. I'm sorry I can't come but-"

She shakes her head. "Don't be. We're going to get Landon."

The werewolf notices Jed. "Why is he going? He hates Landon."

"Look, you're the alpha. If Landon's your pack, that makes him ours."

I sigh. "Okay, enough Disney lines. Let's get this show on the road."

Kaleb looks around. "Where's MG?"

"He's on his way." Hope answers. "Let's load up while we wait for him. Come on."

We walk outside but we some people, soldiers, with shields and weapons.

Oh, sorry. We were about to knock." The head one states.

"Who the hell are you?" Lizzie asks.

"Name's Burr. Triad industries." He answers.

Hope does a spell but it does nothing.

Kaleb drops his bag. "I got this." He uses his vamp speed but as soon as he's out of the shade, his hand starts sizzling.

"What you don't got is magic." Burr says smugly. "Which is why your daylight ring won't work. And what we have are stakes, wolfsbane, wolf lichen, all sorts of other things." His eyes go to me. "Ah, it's the last Nogitsune. It's something to see you in person."

I walk forward. "You stopped their magic. Think that'll stop me?"

Hope feels the fox tail necklace glow with power.
