"I would like to proudly announce this years winner of the 71st annual hunger games Joanna Mason!" a sound that plays through the house. Greeting it's new residents.

"Ugh can you turn that off? I am tired of hearing that rat bastards voice" says Joanna bitterly as she tries to move her stuff into her new home in victors village.

Joanna's father turns off the television that plays reruns of her post winning interviews. "You alright there Joe?" he asks his daughter,  as she struggles with using a telephone.

"No I am not O-K. Stupid Blight told me to call him when I was all moved in. He said I need to "talk about my feelings" which is total bullshit. He doesn't understand me at all. He just has to offer" she says while still failing to use the phone.

"Maybe talking isn't so bad. It could be goo-" he then gets interrupted by his daughter ripping the phone out of the wall and throwing it across the room in a rage. Joanna then sits on the floor and angry cries. The man slowly approaches his daughter. "Joe would you like to talk about it?"

She sniffles loudly before saying with bitterness "No I don't want to get all cozy with my feelings. You don't understand, and neither does Blight."

The man sits down next to his daughter and ask "Why doesn't he understand?"

"I don't know he just doesn't. I don't want to talk about it dad. I just want to hide away and rot forever" she says as her tears slow down.

"You know if you hide away you'll just go even more crazy? That will just make you more miserable" He says.

She looks at him with an angry frown "How would you know? You have never gone in the hunger games. Maybe rotting away is just what I need" he shakes his head at his daughter which makes Joanna scoff.

"We should visit your grandpa" he says as though he made the choice for her.

"Why?" she asks confused.

He stands up and holds out his hand "You'll see". Joanna hesitantly grabs his hand and stands back up. And follows him out the door which she slams behind her.

"I still don't think anything will help" she says as they leave the village. Many people stare at her, as she walks by. And she doesn't hesitate to give them glares, or not so kind hand gestures.

Eventually she reached her grandpas house. A house she grew up in, but had to move from because of her victor status. Even though she didn't want to exit the new house, she was not sad to be seeing her grandpa. "Okay Joe this is where I leave you"

"What?" she asks him.

"You should talk to him. If you listen too you might learn something new" he says. He gives his daughter a kiss on the forehead and opens the door for her. She walks through and he shuts it behind her.

Why does he want me to talk to him? Joanna thinks to herself. "Jojo how are yah kiddo?" her grandpa asks as he enters the room having heard her walk in.

"I'm fine grandpa Theo. How are you?" she says kinda dull, but glad to see the old man.

"I'm good, just gettin old ya know. You seem upset kiddo. Is something bothering you?" he asks her sincerely.

"Yes. I want to hide in my room, but my dad told me I should talk about my feelings. My mentor told me I should too, but what does that asshole know? He's so prideful that I think he enjoyed his games. They should all just let me rot!" Joanna says with an irritated tone.

Theo gives his grand daughter a sad look as he starts to remember the last hunger games victor he knew. "let me make yah a glass of milk dear. Then we should have a chat. That okay?" he says patiently.
