Tweek stayed in his room, he didn't say or do anything. He just laid there. He didn't bother to check his phone when it wouldn't stop going off, he didn't bother to try to do something productive with his time.
Tweek just laid there. He only sat up when he heard his room door open, he found his mom there, looking at him. They stared at eachother like that for a while.
His mom spoke up, "Tweek? What are you doing here?"
Tweek didn't respond, he didn't want to speak to his parents.
His mom made her way over to his bed and sat down, "I understand if you don't want to talk. I wanted to have a chat with you anyway."
Out of both of his parents the only one that knew how to care for a child was his mother. She never spoke, not without his father there. At some point, Tweek found it kind of weird, he thought, "Maybe she's saving her voice." Or "Maybe she doesn't know how to express herself with her voice."
Whatever it was, it had to be a good reason.
"I want you to know that even if I dont show it well, I care for you, and your well being. I want to know how you're feeling, I want to know about your awkward problems, I want be there as you finish highschool and move onto college, or not."
"I feel like sometimes your not being completely honest with me and your father and I want you to know that you can't say anything that would make me change the way I feel about you as a person."
Tweek never really noticed his mom because it never really seemed like she wanted to be apart of his life. "How come you never seem to worry about me?" Tweek asked.
"I know you're responsible, Tweek. I want to give you a little more freedom than whatever I had when I was your age."
Tweek took a deep breath,"I don't want to come off as ignorant or anything, but why does it feel like the coffee shop comes before me."
Tweeks mom looked at the floor, "It's not that the coffee shop comes before you, it's our only source of income. Without it, I can't even imagine what could happen. I personally don't like the shop. I mean, I've learned to make it come first before everything else."
Tweek gulped, "Mom, did you know about the meth?"
"What?"
"The meth. In the basement. Did you know?"
"Sweetheart, that's unethical. Me and your father stopped putting drugs in the coffee years ago-"
"So you did know?"
"I mean, we did put meth in the coffee, but that was only because business wasn't doing great, and I was expecting you. We only put in the coffee to get people addicted until business was okay again. Then me and your father made sure to stop putting it in the blend-"
"You're lying."
"What..?"
"You're lying to me, again. You and him reassured me that there's nothing worth worrying about. But, you guys are cooking meth in our basement, so once people realize you've been feeding them meth, and you'll both be arrested, and I'll be put in the system."
"I promise you that whatever you saw down there must've been something completely different than whatever your thinking. I was told that we would stop, that once we get people addicted they'll keep coming. I was told that as long as I didn't worry to much, things would be fine."
"Did Dad tell you that?"
"Yes, he did. He wouldn't have any reason to lie to me-"
"I think he did. I mean, he's been force feeding me coffee for as long as I can remember, he told me that he blended flavors and stuff in the basement, he told me that he had nothing to lie about- yet he has been putting it in the coffee."
"I need you to show me."
"Kay."
Tweek led his mom down the stairs and into the basement. She took hesitant steps. He led her over to the tables and canisters.
"Pretty sure that's meth."
"Maybe you have the wrong idea."
"You can't deny it. It's all there."
"Tweek, are you sure that your father is putting drugs in the coffee?"
"It makes sense, the coffee tastes like sewer water. When people drink some, they can't stop. It gets them addicted."
"I guess. What do we do?"
"I don't know, I mean, do we tell him that we know? Or do we tell the police?"
"We should wait, we need to act normal until we decide what to do."
"Yeah I guess."
