Y/n was having a good day. She was in a new place, at a new school. Meeting new people, despite not talking to any of them.

Everything was going perfectly fine at Miyamasuzaka Girl's Academy. At least, it was for Y/n until a certain energetic pink-haired girl approached her.

"Excuse me????!! Y/n, right? Have you seen Mafuuyu Asahina? She's about this tall and has purple hair and-"

* Multiple Choice Tiiiiime!!! *

1. "Sorry, but who exactly are you?"

2. "Uh... Yeah, she went that way. I think...?"

3. "..." *Intense silent staring.*

- Choice #1 -

"Sorry but, who exactly are you?" Y/n asks the embodiment of a pink energy drink in front of her.

"Oh, sorry! I'm Emu, Emu Otori! Nice to meet you, Y/n!" Emu replies, nodding and smiling rapidly.

"... And.. how exactly do you know who I am?" Y/n asks.

"Come on! Who doesn't?! I mean, seriously?! You're new to town, and school. You're parents are famous, despite them being dead-" Emu covers her mouth. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to say that, it just slipped out and I-"

"... It's okay, calm down."

- Choice 2 -

"Uh... She went that way... I think...?" Y/n replies, gesturing down the long hallway.

"... Any other help you can give me? That's not very specific..." The energetic girl says with a frown.

"Not really. I barely recall seeing a purple haired teenager around here at all, let alone during school hours." Y/n says, shaking her head. "Sorry, but there's not much I can do about it.

The girl sighs and shrugs. "... Oh well, I guess I'll find her eventually. I'm Emu. Emu Otori, and you're the new student Y/n, right?" Emu asks, tilting her head.

"... No surprise you already know about me, yes, that would be me. Y/n L/n." Y/n replies, nodding.

- Choice 3 -

"..." Y/n doesn't say anything in response to the girl's question, simply staring at her. It's hard to tell whether she's mesmerized or just straight up glaring at her.

"... Uhm, Hello? Earth to Y/n?" The girl asks, waving her hand in front of Y/n. But when Y/n doesn't respond, the girl simply shrugs and goes along with her day. Although it doesn't last long, as her and Y/n come across each other again a few minutes later.

"... Oh! It's you again, silent little Y/n!" The girl says, smiling as she walks over to Y/n. "Come on, not even going to greet me? What kind of person does that?"

"The kind that doesn't want to indulge herself in any irrelevant conversational debate with another classmate." Y/n replies, crossing her arms.

The girl blinks in response, and tilts her head. "... What did you just say?" She asks.

Time quickly passed by, and Y/n gradually started to enjoy whom she learned to be Emu Otori. She was tempted to give her the nickname "Pink Energy Drink" but decided against it, despite how funny it would have been if she decided to actually do so.

Next thing the two girls new, lunch was over, as was school, and they had to go their seperate ways.

"Bye Y/n! See you tomorrow!" Emu said in her usual perky way as she waved goodbye to Y/n as they part ways.

"Goodbye, Emu." Y/n said in a much calmer way than Emu.

... The two girls were polar opposites, and yet they still got along. I guess the saying "Opposites attract" really is true.
