On Y/n's walk back home (again), she passes an Amusement Park. She pauses to take a look at it.

"Phoenix Wonderland" was the name. And it definitely intruiged Y/n. So, she decided to go inside and take a better look around.

... Y/n just had a short attention span, didn't she? Especially today, apparently.

Y/n walks around and finds many things that pique her interest. There's a Ferris Wheel, Carousel - the usual things you'd see. The rides look fun, and they fit the aesthetic she had imagined for the Amusement Park, surprisingly.

After Y/n had walked around for about, maybe 30 minutes to an hour - she didn't know, she wasn't timing herself - she spots a stage with a few people on it. Upon taking a closer look, she discovers that one of the four people she sees before her eyes is that girl from the Academy earlier. ... Emu was her name.. She thinks. However, as quick as lighting, as soon as Y/n realizes she's been spotted by the Pink-haired ball of energy, she tries to turn and walk off, but doesn't manage to get away in time as she feels the weight of her classmate on her bag due to being tackled into a hug by Emu.

"Y/n!! It's so nice to see you again!!" Emu says excitedly, not letting go of Y/n just yet.

Y/n groans, trying to get out of Emu's grip.

"... Otori, please let go of me." Y/n pleads, to which Emu acknowledges and let's go of her. But, that simply results in Emu grabbing Y/n's hand instead and leading her over to the stage where the other three people remained, watching the scene between Emu and Y/n.

Emu claps her hands to get the others' attention, to which she already had.

"Everyone, this is Y/n L/n! The classmate I was telling you all about! Isn't she pretty???" Emu says, giggling.

Y/n waves awkwardly, not really knowing what to say, and then averts her eyes away from the three strangers standing in front of her.

One of the two boys, whom seems almost as energetic as Emu, if not just as much or more, speaks.

"Welcome to Phoenix Wonderland, Y/n! I'm Tsukasa Tenma!" He says cheerfully, crossing his arms proudly and smiling at Y/n.

Y/n stays silent for a moment, and the other boy speaks up. He approaches Y/n and grins.

"It's a pleasure, Y/n." He starts.

"I'm Rui Kamishiro, and that over there is Nene Kusanagi." He says, gesturing to Nene, who shyly waves at Y/n.

Then, Rui reaches and grabs Y/n's hand once close enough, and brings it up toward his lips. He stares into Y/n's eyes for a moment, as if waiting for approval first. After seeing Y/n give him no response, however, he goes for it any way, and presses a soft and tender kiss to the back of Y/n's hand.

Y/n's face flushes ever so slightly for a moment, and she avoids making eye contact with Rui. After he let's go of her hand, however, she looks at him, surprised, flustered, and impressed.

"... You're one hell of a flirt, aren't you, Kamishiro?" Y/n asks, staring into Rui's eyes just as he did hers.

"Please, call me Rui." He says with a chuckle, and then a slight bow.

Emu giggles again, and whispers something to Tsukasa beside her. Y/n is able to make out the word "lovebirds," but nothing else.

"I knew the two of you would get along great!" Emu says, clapping again.

"... Did you really? Or is it just now that you've seen the two of us interact you just want to pretend like you knew all along?" Y/n asks, looking away from Rui and at Emu.

Rui chuckles with amusement.

"Don't be so pessimistic, Y/n. Maybe she really did know the whole time. I've never known Emu to be much of a liar, any how. So I doubt she's lying right now." He says, seemingly convinced that Emu is a bad liar.

Emu nods repeatedly.

"Yeah! Why would I lie about something like this to someone I don't even know that well? What kind of horrible person would do that?" She asks, clearly being to innocent for this cruel world.

Y/n couldn't help but shake her head, amused by poor little Emu's innocence.

"... If only you knew.." She says, sighing. She looks at the time on her watch once more and realizes how late it's getting.

"Oh wow, look at the time. It's getting late. I should probably head back home now." Y/n says.

"Oh?" Rui asks. "... Allow me to escort you home, then." He offers, that grin still plastered on his face.

Y/n raises an eyebrow at Rui's offer at first, a little skeptical. But he wins her over and she nods.

"Alright, fine. Let's go." She turns around and starts walking, gesturing for Rui to follow, which he does.

"Byeeeee Y/n! See you at school tomorrow!" Emu says, waving at Y/n as she and Rui walk away.

Woa, 870 words. I'm really on a roll. I like where this story is going. I hope you all liked the fact that I actually let Rui kiss Y/n's hand this time around and he's even walking her home (for you Rui simps 🤭)

This might even turn into a Rui × Reader instead of an Akito × Reader × Tsukasa - which I'm going to be honest idek what I was thinking mixing Diabolik Lovers and Pjsekai so please forgive me everyone 😔. I was young and I didn't know what I was doing I just wanted to write a story about my two hyperfixations at the time. (Might actually make a book about the two worlds mixed up though 👀)

If you didn't notice already, this remastered version of the story is going to be a little different than the original. Especially the whole "oh your parents are dead btw" thing (😭). Idk what I was thinking there so I plan to try and slowly bring that up in the story throughout chapters. I want to try and make this story go a little slower to feel less rushed than the other one, bc like three different things that should have been separated into different chapters were crammed into the one chapter. And that felt very overwhelming for just the beginning of the story.

I really hope you all enjoy this story as it goes and even when I don't update for a while I'll update again eventually, so yeah.

Also I might make a oneshots book but idk of what yet. Also going to make a book about discord crack eventually so prepare yourselves for that madness 🤭
