I woke up in Toji's bed, with Toji missing, his spot still warm. I checked my phone, 9:23 am, Saturday, one text from Suki, and one text from Gojo.
The text from Suki read, "Me and Gojo are coming over today :) hope you don't mind." great.
The text from Gojo read, "I told her she couldn't just invite ourselves to your apartment. She says we'll be there by 1. Sorry bff :/"
I didn't answer either of them, knowing that no matter what I respond with, they're coming over anyway. I put my phone down so I could yawn and stretch.
"Good morning Princess," Toji leaned against the door frame. He was shirtless, as usual, and was only wearing black boxers and socks. He is so hot. I mean I could literally just sit here all day and just watch him go about his daily routines. He's just so fit. "I made you some tea and I'm making breakfast now if you wanna come out to the kitchen."
"I guess I really am getting the princess treatment this morning," I smiled and stretched again.
"Don't have high expectations, I'm a club owner, not a chef," He smiled before turning around and walking out to the kitchen. I put on my big sweater I keep here and grabbed my phone before walking out to the kitchen.
"Smells really good out here," I sat at the island. Toji put a mug full of hot tea in front of me. "Thank you," I smiled at him and put my cold hands around the mug. I watched Toji as he concentrated on making what looked to be either blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes. He also had turkey bacon cooking on a pan on the other side of the oven, which smelled so good. He looked so stressed out, it was cute. I couldn't help but stare and smile at him.
He took a plate out of the cupboard and placed it on the counter. "No peeking," He looked at me over his shoulder until I covered my eyes with my hands, making me giggle. The effort he is putting into this breakfast is so cute. It really means a lot to me that he's going out of his comfort zone to make me breakfast and try to make it pretty. He may be hard and intimidating on the outside, but on the inside he's such a softie.
I heard the porcelain place get placed in front of me and Toji exhaled in relief. "Open," He said and leaned back against the counter. I looked at the plate, it was so cute. There were two pieces of turkey bacon on the right side of the plate. Taking up the rest of the plate was two large blueberry pancakes stacked on top of each other with a dollop of whipped cream on top, along with a few blueberries and some cut-up strawberries.
"Toji," I smiled at the plate and then at him, "This is so cute." He had a slight smile on his face.
"Are you gonna try it or just look at it?" He sarcastically said as he made his own plate.
I cut a piece of the pancake with my fork and put it in my mouth. "Babe, this is so good," I smiled.
"Babe? I'm glad that caught on," He sat across from me with his breakfast. I didn't even realize I called him babe, it kind of just slipped out so naturally, "That reminds me, I wanted to talk to you about something."
I know it's not a bad thing he wants to talk to me about, but that sentence makes my heart sink straight to my asshole.
"Everything okay?" I took a bite of my turkey bacon.
"I've really been enjoying the last few months with you, Mia," he sipped his coffee, "I know we're in a weird position because you're my son's babysitter, and I don't want him to lose you," where the fuck is this going? "Mia the past three months that you've been around, I've felt a happiness I haven't felt in years, and watching you take care of and bond with Megumi makes it even better," he paused for a moment. "I understand if you don't want to, but I'd like for us to be official." He looked pretty vulnerable in the eyes, I know he doesn't let his guard down like this often, so for him to open up like this really means a lot.
