A week later
The hectic week Taehyung had spent in Paris finally went by. Being back in his hometown set his mind at ease. He no longer had to worry about the time difference between himself and Jennie, which played a huge factor in disrupting their communication.
The time away from Jennie brought Taehyung to the realization that if going further than a talking stage is what his heart desires, making things official is a necessity before it's too late.
When this realization set in, he made the decision to carry out his plan he briefly mentioned a few days back as a way of making things right with Jennie for the lack of communication for the past few days.
Tae 🥰: Hey Jen
Jen 🩷: Hey, how did things go in Paris?
Tae 🥰: Things went pretty well, I got to start putting together the concept I have planned for my solo project and all
Jen 🩷: Oh, that's wonderful 😊
Tae 🥰: Yeah, I'm glad things are coming together nicely so far.. btw, I'm still keeping my promise, and I would like to fulfill it
Jen 🩷: Wait, what are you talking about?
Tae 🥰: Remember when I told you that I'll make things up with you for not communicating with you for hours? Well, that's what I'm talking about now
Jen 🩷: Ohhh, yeah, so does this mean you'll finally tell me what you plan on doing now?
Tae 🥰: Nope, I'm letting it remain as a surprise
Jen 🩷: Fine 🙄😒
Tae 🥰: Get dressed in 20 minutes, I'm coming to pick you up
Jen 🩷: Can't you just tell me what the surprise is??
Tae 🥰: No, now get dressed. A minute just passed, so you got 19 minutes to get ready
Jen 🩷: Okay, okay, I'm gonna start getting ready now
Tae 🥰: Good, see you soon 😊
Jennie locked her phone, putting it away to start getting ready to see Taehyung.Having absolutely no hints as to what the surprise could be was driving her insane. Despite the annoyance of Taehyung refusing to give her an idea as to what he has planned, she felt a sense of excitement as she knew whatever he has in store for her would be to her liking judging based on dates the two has been on in the past. Each date left her impressed, which gave her no doubt this date would be any different.
In exactly 20 minutes, the sound of a car parking outside made Jennie's ears perk up. Without having to check through the window to see who had parked their car, she already knew it was Taehyung. A new message came in to confirm her thoughts
Tae 🥰: I'm outside
Jen 🩷: Wow, you really meant it when you said 20 minutes, huh?
