Chapter Ten: Year Into College

It's been a year since I been in NO and with Trey. I mean he calls me everyday and we sometimes oovoo. I have been happy in NYU. My roommate, Lexi, is amazing. We hit it off as soon as we stepped through the door. I wanted to be in a sorority, but it's mostly Hispanic and Caucasian people. My girls back at home are about to go to college and are staying in Louisiana. Ty is going to LSU and Dee staying in NO, starting at a community college. I'm happy for both of them because I haven't seen them since I left. My phone rings, making me jump.

Me: Hello?

?: Wassup baby?

Me: Oh, hey Trey. I'm done with school today and I'm just relaxing.

T: I just reached NY.

Did I mention that he's gonna be in town today?

Me: I know you are visiting me.

T: Why would I leave my girl like that?

I smile at his comment.

T: Is your roommate gone?

Me: Yes, why did you ask?

T: You'll see when I get there.

Me: You are such a freak.

T: You like it though.

Me: Yes I do.

Lexi walks in through the door.

Me: I'm not lying to you, but she seriously just walked in.

T: Alright, I guess I save what I wanted to do later.

I giggle at him.

Me: You need to quit.

T: I'll be there once we settle over here.

Me: Alright I'll text you where I am.

I hang up and Lexi looks at me.

Me: What?

L: Who was that?

Me: My boyfriend.

L: Why you ain't tell me you had a boo?

Me: Because you'll freak out if I did.

L: At least give me details.

Me: I can't. You'll see him later.

L: Fine.

She starts smiling.

Me: Ok calm the hell down.

Ty POV:

I can't believe I'm finally going to college. I'm finally free, except the money to stay in college of course. Me and Dee are separating today and I'm sad. That's my girl and I'm going to miss her. I got my bags in my car and Dee walks me out.

D: I'm going to miss you boo.

Me: I'm going to miss you too.

We hug as I start crying. I couldn't hold it in anymore.

Me: I'll call you when I make it.

She nods as she wipe my tears away. I get in my car and I leave the house. I gotta stop by Darius first.

YN POV:

L: I'm gonna take a shower.

Me: I'll give you a signal when he's here.

L: Ok.

She walks in the bathroom. I told y'all she would be excited to see him if I said I had a boo.

Five Minutes Later

I'm listening to music when I hear a knock on the door. I run to the door and it's my chocolate man. I quickly give Lexi the symbol and I go to open the door. I automatically jump in his arms as he walks in. He close the door as I'm still hugging him.

Me: Oh my gosh I missed you.

T: I missed you too baby.

I kiss him and he wrap his arms around me. He pulls me closer as we deepen the kiss. 

L: Ok where he a--

She looks at us then look at Trey. All of a sudden her eyes lit up.

L: OH MY GOD, YOU'RE TREY SONGZ!

Me: Trey, this is my roommate Lexi.

T: Wassup?

L: Hi!

He gives her a hug and she starts screaming.

Me: Lexi, stop screaming. No one knows about this. 

He let her go and we sit on my bed. 

Me: Lexi, you have to promise me that you tell no one about me and Trey dating. This is strictly a personal relationship ok?

L: Ok, but why is he here in the first place?

Me: He is having a concert tonight remember?

L: Oh yeah.

T: Here are the front row seats and backstage passes.

Me: Thanks boo.

I kiss him and Lexi looks at us.

L: Y'all are so cute together.

I lay on his chest and smile while he hugs me. 

T: This is my girl.

He kiss my forehead and we both get up.

T: I'll see you two tonight.

Me: Yes you will.

He kiss me and leaves.

L: You got to give me details on him.

Me: No I will not because all you are going to ask me are freaky questions.

L: Now I know y'all smashed at least once, so I know you know something.

Me: I'm not going to tell you!

L: Alright, well I'm going to change into my clothes.

Me: I'm going to take another shower.

L: no girl you going to get Trey's good smell off of you.

Me: It's not like that was my last time being with him.

L: You right.

We both laugh and begin getting ready for the show.
