Demon Slayer: Three Shattered Scabbards

Prologue: The Blue Lily Buried in Snow

           Far behind the forest of Wisteria where entrapped demons live in an eternal dance of hunger and pain, was a town where a single Blue Spider Lily grew. Every month it would regrow in the place of the last one grown. Nora's mother would gather the one and dry it out for the elders or she would use a special technique to help it grow nice and hard for it to be worn as an accessory. 

          On a regular day in spring, Nora makes her way to her house to greet her uncle who is returning home from work. She had a long day at school, and it was often she would return home and wait on the man to make sure he felt okay. 

         As she entered the house she made sure to let her mother, Coco, know she was finally home.

Nora:  Mom, I'm home! *She took off her shoes and closed the door behind her* 

CoCo: Welcome Home Nora, how was school?

Nora: The usual boring classes, but has uncle returned yet? 

CoCo: No he has not, I am making dinner for all of us. Come help me make it pretty please? *She put her hands together with a puppy dog eyes towards Nora*

Nora: *Rolls her eyes with a smile* Oh, but if I must! *She dramatically said, causing her and her mother to giggle*

          After an hour Nora and her mother get dinner done and wait for her uncle to return home.

Nora: *Pouting as his food began to stop emitting steam.* He sure does like to squander what we do for him...

CoCo: *Smiles at her daughter's cute expression.* Ahh you know how your uncle is dear, any moment now I'm sure of it. 

           The door opened and closed with a slam, Nora flinched at it wondering if he was mad. 

Uncle: Yo! How are you two doing? *He smiles as he takes off his boots and jacket to hang them up.* 

Nora: *Turns and gets up arms spread wide.* Uncle Hashido!

           Hashido grins and makes his way to Nora and wraps his arms around her to give her a hug they had both been needing, lifting her into the air and spinning her around.

Hashido: Hello little flower! Would you look at that, huh, your hair has gotten longer since I last saw you! If only I could say the same about your height though, eh? *He began to cackle as Nora rolled her eyes and went back to the table* 

Nora: Oh yeah? At least my hair is healthy, of course, a fat man such as yourself would know nothing of being healthy. 

           Hashido laughs and sits down across from her giving her a fist bump of respect.

 Hashido: Not bad Nora, however, this fat man can still send you flying. 

Coco: Welcome Home Hashido, I presume work went well?

Hashido: Why it went amazing CoCo, I got the promotion I told you about all that time ago too!

CoCo: Really?? *Her face lit up in joy*

CoCo: This means we can finally move? 

Hashido: Yes it does, it may not be soon but it's 100% going to happen in the coming months. 

CoCo: That makes me so happy I could cry, but that's enough for now let's finish discussing this after dinner. *She smiled happily as she focused back on her food.* 

Hashido: What are we having? *The man looked at his no longer hot, but still warm food.* 

Coco: Steamed Fish, with rice and steamed dumplings
