Chapter Three: Day 2/3 Of The Final Selection

--DAY TWO--

             Deep in Mount. Fujukasane was the demon-infested forest where The Final Selection took place, in this forest there was a cave with 18 soon-to-be demon slayers. Some of them woke up during the night, Takeshida and Uriru both took turns on guard duty to make sure no demons came close to it. Eventually, outside got warmer as the sky got a little brighter, still having a purple hue to it due to the westeria plants which began to bloom again. Takeshida stepped back into the cave and seen 8 people sitting around the fire and Uriru still sitting against the wall.

Takeshida: Hey! Some of you guys are up, that's a relief. I was beginning to think we'd have to carry all of you guys back to the Demon Slayer Corp. *Scratches head and lightly smiles*

             Shima was also sitting against the wall but was resting from his injuries during his fight, the person he had on his back was a female with long white hair. She never woke up the entire night but she seems to be attached to Shima, even still clinging onto him in their sleep.

Takeshida: *Looks at Shima and the girl* (Last night, wasn't that girl.. taller?) *Puts hand on chin*

Uriru: Is it my turn already? *Looks up at Takeshida and rubs head*

Takeshida: *Looks down at Uriru* Oh nah, I came in here to see how everyone was doing. The day is quickly approaching as well, we've survived the first night! *Smiles proudly at Uriru*

Uriru: *Stands up* Yeah? I can already feel the warmth of the air outside. *Puts on jacket and stands infront of the cave while looking towards the sky to bask in the sunlight* How about we get some food already? I bet these people are starving, I know I could sure use a warm meal right about now. *Looks back at Takeshida*

Takeshida: *Looks at the people around the campfire and then stares at Shima and the girl for a couple of seconds*

Uriru: Takeshida! You still with us? *Walks closer to him*

Takeshida: Y-Yeah, my bad. *Looks at Uriru and walks out of the cave* Let's go hunting! *Smiles* (It must be my mind playing tricks on me.)

Uriru and Takeshida walked through the forest, conversing as they found some boars and even found some small rivers and ponds with fresh water and a few fish.

Takeshida: Good thing demons don't eat anything humans eat, if they did, this entire forest would be bare! *Puts boar on shoulder*

Uriru: What was that earlier? We haven't known each other for long but I can tell when something's up with you. *Looks at Takeshida*

Takeshida: Heh.. yeah. That girl with Shima, there's a weird vibe about her. She's a human, I know that for sure but.. she has a aura similar to a demon's surrounding her. *Looks at Uriru*

Uriru: The one with white hair, right?

Takeshida: *Nods in agreement*
