Demon Slayer: Three Shattered Scabbards

Prologue: Dragon in the Sky of Shadows

           Behind the Demon Slayer Corps there was a large mountain, surrounded by westeria plants all around the base. A village was at the very top of this mountain, a village filled with ninja. These ninja studied the art of ninpo and ninjutsu, as well as the stealth and code of the ninja ways. Shinobu often visited this village to study and get westeria so she could make all types of products from it's affects.

Shinobu was making her daily trip through the mountain when she noticed a teenage boy watching her from the tree.

Shinobu: Hmm..? You've come all the way down this time, I see. *Smiling lightly*

Takeshida looked down at her and jumped down from the tree.

Takeshida: This time? So you seen me all the other times?

Shinobu: Well of course I have! I am a Hashira after all.

Butterflies flew off her as her bright purple eyes locked onto Takeshida's purple eyes.

*Gulp* Takeshida: (She was able to see me even though I concealed my prescence? Who is this lady?) What's a Hashira? *Scratching his head*

Shinobu looked shocked as she heard his question.

Shinobu: You don't know what a Hashira is? The highest rank of the Demon Slayer Corp? *Covers mouth*

Takeshida: Demon Slayer Corp? You talk like there's a whole other world down there. With a sword on your waist I wouldn't assume you're lying either.

Shinobu: *Chuckling* Have you never come down from the mountain before? Well, since there's westeria everywhere down here.. Demons can't really come up here and to your village if they wanted to.

Takeshida: D-Demons? My people have heard of them before but we've never really seen one before, what are they?

Shinobu motioned her hand for Takeshida to come over to her, he sat down on the stairs next to her and she did the same.

Shinobu: Demons are monsters who used to be people. They feed on us, the human race to survive. The Demon Slayer Corp was formed by the Ubuyashiki family to defend humanity from the demons. I, however want to create a way for demons and humans to coexists, I figure that with enough research that it's possible. *Pulls out sword*

Takeshida looked at her sword in confusion because of it's odd structure.

Shinobu: I am the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho. I don't posess the strength to kill a demon so I use poison specially made from these westeria plants. *Points at the westeria flowers*

Takeshida: Is that why your sword is made like that?

Shinobu: Correct! My sword is made like this to make it as light as possible to fit me, it's tip is sharp so it'll pierce through the skin of demons. This stuff is westeria poison, it's the only poison lethal to demons and luckily, one pierce is all I need.

Takeshida: Could you maybe.. teach me more about poison and demons and stuff?

Shinobu: Oh well of course I can! I visit here everytime I need more westeria for my experiments, I could also bring you to the butterfly palace to learn! *Smiles*

Takeshida took a few seconds before answering, looking away from Shinobu.

Takeshida: What about my village? I don't think my parents would be very happy about that.

Shinobu: *Smiles* You mean Mr and Mrs. Kage? I'm a very close friend to them, they told me a lot about you already, you're a very fast ninja just like them, I've heard about your hunting trips by yourself, bringing back giant boar out in the field on the side of the mountain.

Takeshida's eyes lit up in amazement as he began to cockily smile.

Takeshida: Heheh.. well I DOOO suppose that ISS pretty cool for a 12 year old. *Chuckles*

Shinobu nodded in agreement and smiled. Takeshida looked at her and looked into the lavender sky, being illuminated by the westeria plants. Now standing up, Takeshida threw both arms in the are with a big smile.

Takeshida: I'll be the BEST demon slayer! --Wait but.. I'm a ninja. I'll be the BEST 'Demon-Slaying-Ninja'!

--Three Years Later--

Rushing through the night sky, two demons were running away from something in fear.

Demon 1: W-What the- I can't see this guy! *Panting*

Demon 2: This guy isn't human!

They ran into an open field, both sweating and struggling to catch their breath. One of the demons began to get angrier.

Demon 1: T-This isn't right! We're DEMONS! WE'RE supposed to be the ones doing the hunting. This guy is at Hashira level! He already killed that other demon, I TOLD you two to go somewhere else to feast! You brought two a damned HASHIRA to ME!

Demon 2: Well we didn't know we were being followed! I'm sorry!

Demon 1: Sorry isn't going to get us out of this situation! He could be anywhere!

The ground beneath one of the demons began to melt as the grass around them started to catch fire, Demon 1 began to yell as his hands heated up to a temperature that could burn through metal. Demon 2 watched in awe.

Demon 1: COME AT MEE! *Sweat drips from forehead*

Demon 2 was looking through the flames when he noticed Takeshida headed straight towards them and then disappeared, a second later he saw the swift outlines of a person circling around them at high speed.

Demon 2: L-Look! HE'S HERE!

Demon 1 began sweating as his eyes began to widen crazily with saliva bubbling from his mouth.

Demon 1: WHERE THE HELL IS HE!?

Demon 2: Y-You can't see him!?

Demon 1 started looking around visciously as his eyes started to cloud up and his throat began to go dry.

Demon 1: *Coughing* W-WHAT THE- I CAN'T BREATHE!

Looking over to the ground, Demon 1 watched as a man stood infront of Demon 2 who was crawling back in fear.

Demon 2: W-WAIT N-NO! AHHHHHHH!

Takeshida slashed Demon 2 across his chest and looked back at Demon 1 with a proud smile.

Demon 1: *Shocked* Y-YOU BASTARDD!!!

Demon 1 rushed at Takeshida with his hands open and swung at Takeshida, in an instant, Takeshida was gone and Demon 1 started to bleed from his mouth.

Takeshida: *Walking up behind Demon 1* Back at that cabin behind the woods, I cut you after I killed that other demon. My sword is always covered in poison lethal to you demons and even without it, you would've stood no chance for my Shadow-Breathing Technique! *Smiling*

Demon 1: Y-You bastard.. I.. I.. will kill you. *Walking towards Takeshida and collapses*

Takeshida: *Looks at them in disgust* Shinobu said to think of demons as people but.. *Takeshida began to reflect* (Takeshida was jumping through the trees when he noticed two demons walking on a path with two woman corpses. Takeshida was about to strike when he noticed that the path lead to a small cabin nearby. "There could be a whole group of them, and judging by their smell and sound.. They're not even apart of the Twelve Kizuki. This'll be quick and easy."
