This last few months had been weird flying back and forth from Boston to Seattle. A after Derek's surgery we went back to Boston for about a month, and we flew back yesterday since the lawyers had scheduled a hearing today. We knew this was going to take long so we had taken two weeks off, to start with, and if needed we could stay up to a month.

- Today is a big day
- Yeah I'm exited about it
- Really? You finally gonna tell Cristina that you're pregnant?
- What are you taking about?
- Today is the last day of your first trimester
- I'm talking about the plane crash, the judge could have a decision today about whether the hospital is at fault or not
- Well that's not gonna happen
- The lawyers moved for some rejudgment
- Well that is a formality, it's gonna go to trial and it's gonna take months for a decision
- Maybe not
- Yeah, your first trimester is over, try to relax a little, enjoy it, tell your twisted sister, she'll be happy for you

This whole not working thing was new to us. We stayed home and I cooked homemade food, which didn't exactly turn out as I wanted, but I'm getting better at the cooking stuff. Zola was happy to just be able to spend time with us, no daycare, no hospitals. For once we were just a happy family.

- Come here Zozo! Come with daddy -Said Derek while holding her favorite toy. Zola walked towards him as he laughed
- No, don't put it in your mouth, not everything is to eat
- You know she's at that age, she'll eat anything she sees. As long as it's a giraffe toy and not a Lego, I'd say we're good
We were enjoying the peace when my phone rang
- You have to come right know

...
- Did I miss it? Damn it I got out of the OR as fast as I could. Oh god was it bad? - Asked Callie, she made it to the court house after it had finished. We all shakes our heads - It wasn't? - She asked again trying to figure out what was going on
- We won - Said Arizona
- He said the airline company had a history of mechanical problems with the planes it was a public record and the hospital should've known - explained Derek
- He found the hospital negligent - I added
- So we won! When is he gonna tell us about the award, I mean I hate to be all about the money - Callie seemed happy unlike the rest of us
- He already did - interrupted Cristina
- His giving is 15M dollars, each.

Callie was happy, and wanted to celebrate, the rest of us weren't so keen. I think it's the fact that she wasn't on the plane, I mean she is one of us, but at the same time she isn't. It's good though, we need someone with her energy. She insisted so much we ended up agreeing to a diner, we found a sitter for Sofia and Zola, who were happy to be together. Back in Boston Zola would always ask when she could see her friend Sofía, sometimes she would also ask about Lexi, we tried explaining to her, but she is too young to really get it, with time she stopped asking. It's a relief not to have to explain it, but I don't want her to forget her aunt, even if their time together was cut short.

- We're moving on, and it feels weird, and sad, and wrong. But it also feels exciting. I miss Mark, and Lexi, and I'm heartbroken that they're not here tonight, I'm heartbroken but, I'm also grateful that all of you are, and I'm gonna celebrate that. And we are gonna toast, come in toast, pick up your glasses and toast
- Oh no thank you - I said to the waiter that tried to put me champagne
- Yes she's having champagne, Grey we're all having champagne
- No I can't
- Just try, try, come on try
- I can't because I'm pregnant
- What?
- And I'm happy so let's celebrate

I felt happy to have told my friends about the pregnancy, it made it real. After the diner we went back to our house and packed our bags. It was done, finally done, Derek's hand was alright, we had won, we were moving on. And now we never had to look back. We were taking the first plane tomorrow morning.
