(Bakugo's POV)
I take a deep breath, preparing to knock on Deku's door.
Honestly, I have no idea if this is a date or not.
But it's not like he's thinking about that anyway, so I wouldn't worry about that.
I find a good alternative to knocking on the door, and ring the doorbell instead. I hear quick footsteps, and suddenly the door opens to a smiling Deku, dressed in a T-shirt and baggy jeans.
"Hi, Kacchan!"
"Hey, nerd. Ok, look what I got you," I say, and hand him a little black bag with a bow at the top.
He reaches inside and pulls out a broccoli plushie.
"Kacchan, this is-"
"Identical to you? Yeah, I know. Uncanny," I say. He looks at me and we laugh.
"Ok, Kacchan, come on in," Deku says and opens the door wide and heads over to the kitchen, leaving me to close the door as I step inside.
I look around to see the ingredients layed out on the table, the remote on the couch, and Deku sitting criss-cross on one of the stools by the island table in the kitchen.
"So how do you make brownies?", He asks.
"Oh, uh, let me find a recipe really quick," I say, and pull out my phone to google it. I find a website with a good recipe and show it to him.
I set my phone on a napkin holder Deku has on the table, and we start to put the dry ingriedients, like cocoa powder and salt into a bowl.
"Oooh it's gonna taste so good with the cocoa," Deku says.
"Mhm," I reply.
We put in the wet ingredients, like the eggs, olive oil, and water in a different bowl. Then we put them together.
"WHOA!!!! Kacchan, look, it's not liquidy anymore! It's like Oobleck!!!"
I laugh.
"Yeah, thats what's supposed to happen."
"Coooool," Deku says, putting it into the tray. Once he's done, we put the tray in the oven and let it bake.
"Now what?", Deku asks. He's so innocent and new to this process, it's like he's a little kid. Frankly, it's adorable.
"Now we wait," I say.
"So should we watch the movie now?"
"Oh, sure," I say. I'd forgotten there was a movie involved.
"What should we watch?"
"Anything is fine," I said. I didn't mind what we watched.
I was already watching his lips.
I turn off the lights and we sit down on the couch, throw a blanket over us, and Deku starts going through the movies. We pass a couple of action movies, and a few movies I've already watched, and eventually there's an All Might movie.
Dekus eyes are shining in awe at the cover.
"Do you want to watch it? It looks good," I say. It really doesn't, but it's not like it can be that bad. And besides, I was with Deku.
He makes everything better.
"Yeah, Ok!", He says, and he happily presses play.
The movie goes as most All Might movies do, theres a villain, All Might kicks their ass, he gets famous for it, etc. Around halfway through the movie, The timer sounds from the kitchen.
"I'll get it," I say.
I get up from the couch, adjust the blanket so Deku's still warm, and head over to the oven and take out the tray of brownies.
"That smells amazing,", Deku says from the couch, his eyes still glued to the TV. I take a knife and cut the huge chunk of brownie into little brownies, and put some on a plate for me and Deku. I bring it over, and sit back down.
"Whoaaah," Deku says, as he reaches and grabs a brownie. He takes a bite, the crumbs on his face blending in with his freckles.
I grab one too, and when I take a bite, my eyes widen.
These taste amazing.
I look at Deku in shock, and he looks right back, and we nod. We did a great job. We finish the brownies, and I figure now we go back and finish the movie, but we don't break eye contact. He looks into my eyes, and I look into his.
It just feels right. his green eyes locked with mine.
His lips on mine.
We inch closer until we connect. The blanket falls off the couch, and I take my hand and twirl a strand of his hair. His hands are draped on my shoulders, holding onto me as if I'm the only thing keeping him from floating away.
There wasn't tongue or anything too bad, it was just a simple kiss. But it was one of the best I'd ever had.
And then it was over.
"Uhm, Kacchan-"
"Shit. Well, I should probably go. I mean, that was. Uhm."
It was amazing. But I wasn't gonna say that.
"Uh, Yeah, ok. Bye, Kacchan! I'll see you next time."
"Bye, Deku," I say, getting up and heading over to the door, opening it to find the blinding bright sunlight, since it's still around 3:00. I close the door behind me and run all the way to my dorm.
Oh. my. GOD.
I'm gonna be so mad if thats the only time we ever kiss.
