~next day~
I woke up early to hearing Paris crying from the baby monitor. I push the cover off of me and got up to go get her. When I walked into the nursery she stopped crying. I picked her up and went downstairs to fix her a bottle. I warm the bottle up before feeding her. I checked the bottle to make sure it was warm enough before giving it to her. I was sitting in the kitchen, feeding Paris when Kanden came in.
"You cooking?" He asked looking at the stove
"Iguess what you want?"
"French toast !" He said with excitement
"Alright let me feed your sister right quick and I'll cook you some"
He nodded his head up and down then he went back upstairs to his room. When I finished feeding Paris, I put her into her play pin. Then I went into the kitchen to cook Kanden food. I took out like 4 eggs and a stick of butter. I beat the eggs into the bowl then I stirred it up. I pulled out a flat skillet and placed it on the stove to warm up. I sliced the butter into the skillet. I let it melt a little while I was dipping the bread into the eggs. I picked the bread up and put it on the skillet. I let it cook for 2-3 minutes before flipping it over then I added a lil cinnamon to it so it would have a type of sweet taste sorta. I cooked enough for me and Kanden then I fixed our plates and put it on the island table. I fixed our juice then I put it on the table as well.
"Kanden Amari Boyd" I yell from the table
"Yes ma'am?" He said yelling back
"Food Ready"
He came running downstairs. He was running so fast down the stairs I thought his ass was gone start rolling. He came in the kitchen and sat down in front of his plate. He said his prayers then he dug in.
"Why you had to call my full name ma?" He asked looking up at me
"Because I just love your damn name"
"No ma it's not cute"
"Boy yes it is, just wait til you get in high school the girls gone love it" I said with a laugh
"Dad already hip me ma, he said you was going thru a transition with your hormones"
"I'm gone kill your father, but speaking of him you want to go to the prison with me and aunt Nicole?" I asked with a curious look
He nodded his head up and down
"When you finish eating go get ready so we can go and I got to call Nicole" I said getting up from the table to put my plate in the sink
"Yes ma'am" he said still stuffing his mouth
I left the kitchen and went to the living room to get Paris. When I walked in, she was on her stomach scooting like she was trying to crawl. A tear fell from my eye as I wiped it away. I don't know what the hell wrong with me I just be emotional for no reason. I picked her up and went upstairs to see Kanden picking out his clothes. I put Paris into her crib as I got dressed. Before I got dress I called Nicole and she answer on the second ring.
"Wassup boo?" She said with excitement
"I was just trying to see if you was still going to go with me to the prison"
"Yes I'll meet you at your house in about 15 minutes"
"Okay good cause I'm just now about to get dressed"
"Okay see you soon girl" she said
"Bye"
When I got off the phone with Nicole. I hopped in the shower for about 20 minutes. When I got out I dried off and lotion myself. I had on red high waist shorts and a white lace crop top with my Hare 7s. I put my curly hair up into a neat high bun. Then I went in Kanden room too check and see if he was ready. When I walked into his room he was playing the game by himself. He had on a white v-neck shirt and basketball shorts with the same jays as me.
"You tried to be like me uh?" I asked walking into his room
"I picked out my outfit first" he said looking at my shoes
"Well I rock the shoes better" I said with a laugh
"Whatever makes you feel better" he said being sarcastic
"We gone leave in a few, I got to get Paris ready then Nicole coming over too"
He nodded his head.
