Instead of indulging in the hot shower he had eagerly anticipated after his early morning workout, Mew opted for a refreshing cold shower instead. The mere sight of Gulf in one of his t-shirts and pyjama bottoms had stirred up unexpected excitement within him. Despite being a mature adult, he couldn't deny the effect it had on him.

Determined not to give in to his desires, Mew resorted to the shower as his sole remedy. After taking care of his arousal, he proceeded to cleanse his hair and body before venturing out again. Gulf remained seated on the stool, clutching onto his cup of coffee as if it were his lifeline. Mew couldn't help but ponder the exorbitant monthly coffee expenses they were bound to incur.

"Are you one of those coffee aliens from men in black?"

"Huh?" Gulf let out a low grunt as he glanced at him through hazy eyes, his face quickly turning red with embarrassment as he realized he was standing there with only a towel loosely draped around his waist. "Put some clothes on!"

"I'm going to. But seriously are you just going to go through all my coffee?" Mew glanced over at the coffee pot, noticing the steam rising from a fresh batch. Gulf's coffee addiction seemed to shed light on many of his quirks after working alongside him for three years. From shaky hands to a change in his demeanor, to his tendency to become irritable later in the day when they were swamped with work.

"Shut up, it's only my third cup."

"Three cups of coffee? It's not even 7 yet." Mew hummed hoping that when he was living here properly he would convince Gulf to lay back on the coffee. He was a firm believer of a healthy and more natural lifestyle and although he doubted that Gulf would be joining him for his early morning exercise he wanted to make sure that he was at least healthy.

"You determined to sound like a mum? I'm an adult I can have as much coffee as I like..." Gulf grumbled but put the cup down his tongue moving over his lips as he got to his feet "I'll go shower."

"Alrighty then. Need a fresh shirt to borrow?" Mew inquired, making his way towards his bedroom. Gulf responded with a sound that hinted at agreement. As the bathroom door swung open and shut, Mew let out a sigh and opened the door to his own bedroom. In the center of the room stood a majestic king-plus bed, while a spacious walk-in wardrobe on one side housed his clothes to the right of the bed.

Covering almost every inch of wall space were four towering bookshelves, burdened with the weight of his extensive manga collection and a few prized anime series. It may have been his little secret, but Mew had no intention of changing it, even if it were to be discovered. He made his way to the wardrobe, retrieving a suit and an extra shirt for Gulf. Hastily getting dressed, he hurried back out into the main area of his apartment, not wanting Gulf to finish up and come searching for him.

Thankfully, Gulf appeared to be thoroughly enjoying a lengthy and leisurely shower. Mew couldn't help but smile when he heard Gulf singing off-key at the top of his lungs. After pouring himself a half cup of coffee, Mew quickly downed it and then spent the next few minutes tidying up the mess caused by Gulf's coffee mishap.

Out of nowhere, Gulf gasped and snuck up behind Mew, exclaiming, "Your shower is absolutely amazing!" Mew returned the compliment with a smile, saying, "Yours is just as great. When you're ready, I'll show you the quickest route to walk to work. Shall we head to your old apartment around ten?"

Gulf hesitated for a moment before responding, "Um... Yeah... Sure..."

Gulf had anticipated Mew to commute by bus to work, but to his surprise, he guided him through a hidden exit of the apartment building and down a picturesque river. With everyone and everything still in the process of waking up, they had the view all to themselves.
