Castiel helped Dean carry him and his brothers bags into the motel room, the angel telepathically opening the door for Dean.
"You like to do that, don't you?" Dean commented, annoyed, thinking back on all the times Cas had done that prior.
"I like to assist you, Dean." Cas replied, hoping for it to sound more sarcastic than it did.
Sam stepped out of the bathroom, "Where the hell did he come from?"
Dean shrugged in response, "Honestly, no idea."
Cas glared at the two before setting their bags down on one of the beds, "I'm here because, once again, you two are somewhere you shouldn't be."
"Why shouldn't we be here?" Sam asked, rooting through his bag for a sleep shirt, Dean doing the same.
"There's a dangerous entity here, and although I'm not quite sure what it is, I don't want you two to get hurt. I sense it's powerful, even for your standards." Castiel replied.
Dean and Sam shared a glance, the younger hunter shrugging.
"Why don't we deal with the case together? If you're so afraid of us getting hurt, you could keep an eye on us while we do our job." Sam negotiated.
Cas went quiet for a moment, obviously deep in thought. "Alright, I suppose. Although, I hope you know that I am not pleased with this decision."
"Peachy, I'm pleased we finally made a decision. Now I'm getting a shower. Sam, good luck." Dean said as he slipped into the bathroom with his clothes and hygiene products in hand.
Sam and Cas sat in an uncomfortable silence, the hunter laying on the bed while the angel looked around the room.
"Hey, Cas?" Sam said as Dean turned the shower on.
"Hm?"
"Are you into my brother?"
Castiel looked at Sam, his head tilted slightly.
"I'm unsure what it means to be 'into somebody,' but if you're asking if I am in love with him- well, I'm entirely unsure."
"Just curious. Lotta tension." Sam replied with a shrug.
Cas sighed, "I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed."

"Ugh, I miss the bunkers' water pressure." Dean grumbled. It was the next morning, and the three were sitting in a diner across the street from the motel.
Sam rolled his eyes, "You're so high-maintenance." Dean grumbled something incoherent, making his younger brother shoot a glare at him before Cas cleared his throat and gestured to the waitress coming to take their order.
Dean had his default order, pie, while Sam ordered a salad.
"Have you two found anything on the case?" The angel questioned once he determined they were both at a temporary stopping point in their meals.
"Omens, demonic omens, all over town. Big ass electrical storm a few days before we came. But you said 'No mere demons.'" Dean sassed, taking another bite of his pie as he glared at Cas, the angel glaring right back.
"You're taking my statement the wrong way. I said it in a way that suggests that there could be a demon, but it wouldn't be mere."
"You know-" Sam's voice was muffled from the salad in his mouth, but he continued anyways, "You two fight like an old married couple."
Dean scoffed, "We're not old, not married, and not-" The hunter paused, "Not a couple."
"Back to the topic at hand." Cas spoke, pulling the conversation back to its origin, "Have you found any patterns between victims?"
"Not before they went all Dory, but all the vics somehow ended up working at the local autoshop before being murdered. Apparently, the owner wanted to 'help them in any way he could.' Bullshit if you ask me." Dean informed, before focusing on his pie.
"Then perhaps the owner has something to do with the murders? I believe we should start there. What is the name of this autoshop?" Cas asked, tilting his head in a way that made Dean's breath hitch in his throat.
Sam rolled his eyes at Dean before responding, "Salvation Auto. Not to bad of a place, actually."
Suddenly, Cas disappeared, Dean dropping his fork and looking around. "Damn- I hate when he does that-" Cas reappeared.
"You were right, Sam. Nice place. Although, I'm afraid the place reeked with Sulfur. I believe I know what -or better yet- who we're dealing with." Cas informed, the brothers waiting for him to continue.
"Oh-" The angel noticed the look on their faces, "A demon. His name is Aud, he's one of Crowleys right-hand men."
"Aud? He's the one turning everyone all Michael Corinthos?"
Cas tilted his head in confusion before nodding.
"Maybe Aud owns the Autoshop. He's drawing them in, making the vics trust him." Sam theorized.
"That would be the most probable. Although, Aud is a very complicated being. You think you've finally tracked him down, but before you know it, you've lost all memory of where he was." Cas explained.
"Well, this should be fun." Dean hummed before flagging down the waitress to pay the bill.
