Second Chances: Red Arrow

Chapter 8

"How do I look?" Emiko asked Philky when she came out from changing into the new suit Oliver had sent her and she had to admit, his friend Cisco, he really knew how to make a super suit.

"I have to admit, you look good." Philky said and Emiko smirked.

"Tell me something I don't know." Emiko said, since she was loving the way this suit felt, since it felt like it was a part of her body. The main part of the suit was a navy blue sleeveless bodysuit that covered her torso and legs with a bright hood that was attached to her chest and flowed down her back in a cape. While they weren't attached to the rest of her suit, she wore two bright red armored sleeves and red and navy armored boots. It was clear that this suit was designed to pay homage to her Japanese heritage, something that she appreciated and wished her old Ninth Circle gear had done. And of course, the outfit wasn't complete without a red mask almost identical to the one her sister used to wear with her speedy suit.

"That suit certainly shows off your figure." Philky said, eyeing her appreciatively.

"Not interested Philky. Keep your eyes to yourself if you want to keep them." Emiko said as she chose that moment to pick up her new bright red collapsible bow and also sheathed her sword in the sheath between her suit and her quiver.

"Copy that. So, what should I call you now?" Philky asked.

"Call me Red Arrow. Now, time to let Hub City know that things are changing." Emiko said.

"And you can start by taking down all the remaining ASA strongholds here in Hub City, since it turns out that Odell did set up some kind of contingency protocol in case the ASA did go down. According to my source, Odell set up several safehouses around the city to protect the ASA's assets. Every agent who evaded capture had orders to report here. I don't know why though, since it's not like the ASA can resurface." Philky said.

"Whatever secrets Odell had hidden here must be bad if he wanted to ensure that they stayed secret after they were buried. Do you have the locations of the safehouses and other installations?" Emiko asked him.

"Unfortunately no. We'd need access to whatever database the ASA is currently using to find them." Philky said.

"Okay, we'll start by securing the ASA billions. Once we have those billions, then we can start waging a real war against any ASA remnants left here in Hub City. Especially since I can't shake the feeling that there's something bigger going on right now." Emiko said and Philky nodded.

"My contact was able to get me the location for the accountant. Or at least a way to track him." Philky said as he pulled up his laptop.

"Talk to me." Emiko said.

"I was reminded that every government agent has a tracker in them, though don't worry, I removed mine when you helped me fake my death before the ASA went down, but I've hacked into the government databases and was given all the information I need to track this guy down. There's nowhere he can go that you can't follow and he doesn't even know it yet." Philky said and Emiko grinned.

"Now, I just need a ride, since swinging from rooftops will use up too much energy." Emiko said.

"You've already got one. Your friend who made that suit sent something else your way too." Philky said as he pulled back a tarp to reveal a new motorcycle.

"Damn, Oliver really thought of everything. I'll head out, you direct me." Red Arrow said as she got on her new bike.

"Copy that." Philky said as she revved up her bike and zoomed out.
