Cho y/n and her roommate, Nabi impatiently waited in line for a cup of coffee. The line at Starbucks spilled out all the way to the sidewalk. Y/n was just happy to be inside where it was warmer. She glances at her cell phone feeling a bit panicked.

"We aren't going to make it. Maybe we should skip coffee and head to class. What do you say?" Nabi suggested also noticing the time. Morning classes were always the worst, but there wasn't any open slots for the afternoon. "But I really needed a caffeine boost". Y/n internally pouted. Nabi put a comforting hand on her friends shoulder. "Perhaps at lunch time we can grab coffee. In the mean time we need to get to Mr. Parks class". Nabi grabs a hold of y/n hand and pulls her away from the long line.

She was determined later that she would get a cup of coffee. As they made their way out of Starbucks, the cool blast of autumn hit them. Y/n wrapped her coat tightly around herself shivering. Nabi chuckles shaking her head at her friend. "You call this cold? This is mild compared to recent years. Come on let's get you out of here before you turn into a pop sickle". Nabi joked.

"I wouldn't be cold if it it weren't the side effects of the medication". Y/n mentioned. Nabi returns a sad smile. "Are you sure it isn't anything else causing it?" Nabi asked worriedly. Nabi knowing of her health issue  became worried. Y/n nodded in reassurance. "Yes, everything is functioning correctly. The doctor says everything looks good. As long as I don't have complications I will be okay. I just have to go regularly to check everything. Don't worry I am fine". She reassured her friend. Despite not knowing what the future holds, y/n wanted to live her life without regrets. And she was going to chase after her dreams. Even when doctors turned down her dream, it crushed her soul. Y/n wanted to prove her doctors wrong, and tell them that it is possible. It wasn't unachievable.

"If you ever start to feel bad tell me or someone else. Okay?" Nabi asks. Y/n hums in response.

When y/n enters the room, she sees her best friend sitting near the back row. He waves energetically in her direction. As she sits down beside him, she could tell that he was in a happy mood. "How are you so cheerful in the morning Kevin?" Y/n asked as a yawn slips out.

Kevin chuckles. "It's all because I got a good nights rest. I am guessing you didn't due to the dark circles under your eyes". Kevin half joked. Y/n slips her hood over her face to cover up. "You're mean". Y/n joked sticking out her tongue. Kevin just shakes his head before opening his laptop.

While class continues on, y/n glances over towards the window noticing how beautiful the sun was shining in the classroom. She could feel the warmth of the sun rays kissing her cold skin. As she glances to her left, y/n could see the guy from the convenience store dozing off from  behind his laptop. The very guy who took her favorite ramen noodles. Like her, the sun was beating down on him causing his skin to glow in a golden tone. If almost took her breath away seeing him glowing ever so slightly.

As if feeling he was being watched, he lifts his head up from his desk and glances around. It took only a few seconds before their eyes met. He gives her a small smile before y/n quickly looks away. Suddenly, she could feel her cheeks flush from embarrassment. Y/n dabs at her cheeks feeling how hot they were.

Y/n snap out of it. Don't let him get to you. Focus on work and dance. She thought to herself. Y/n took a deep breath before turning her focus on the lecture. It was going to be a long day.

. . .

By the time afternoon arrived, y/n was excited because it was her favorite class. She couldn't wait to learn new choreography from her teacher. Here she felt like she could express herself through her movements. Convey emotions that she felt would tell a compelling story about her hardships in life. This was where she belongs.

"Everyone I have an announcement to make so listen carefully. I am going to assign you a dance project that you have to collaborate with a classmate. It can be of any genre you desire. As long as it tells a story. This assignment will also help to get to know your partner better. You will perform this piece in front of the class including myself. You will be graded based on technique, creativity,  synchronization and choreography. You will draw a piece of paper from this cup and draw out a name. The name revealed will be your dance partner for this piece. You will have four weeks to create this masterpiece. It is worth 50% of your grade". The teacher reveals.

Y/n was enlightened to make a dance piece with a classmate. She wondered who's name she will pick. As she watched the green cup approach closer she became nervous. Y/n had never danced with a partner before. Would she be good enough? Would they get along? All those thoughts crossed her mind.

A guy sitting from the row below her handed over the green cup. Only four names remained. Who was she going to pick? Looking over the pieces y/n reached for the one in the middle. She passed the green cup onto the next person.

Y/n took a deep breath before unfolding the piece of paper. The name did not ring a bell. "Ji Changmin?" She read  aloud. She looked over the name, but the name did not sound familiar.

Suddenly, a guy plops down beside her startling her.

"Hey, wait a minute you're that girl from the convenience store  that night". Changmin points a finger at her. She looks at him confused when it suddenly dawns on her. He was the guy who stole her favorite Samyang ramen. "Ah, you're the 삼양라면 ramen thief". Y/n stated.

How was it that Changmin chose her name just as she chose his? Coincidence? I think not.
