Chapter 4: Tea and Coffee

**Luna's POV

The school day has ended. Me and Kai went to the rooftop of the school to talk about things. It's already 4 in the afternoon, the sun is casting a warm, golden light that is bathed in the rooftop. I can hear the faint echo of students walking below the building, making their way out of school. We are both standing at the edge of the rooftop, facing the golden sun as it casts its light onto both of us.

If you think about it, it should be a romantic scene, except that our situation now is kinda complicated.

We were both silent for a few minutes.

"Who's Kat?"/"Please don't play with Zen."

We both said in unison.

"Sorry. You go first." - me and Kai

"Alright--" we both stopped because again, for the third time, we are speaking in unison.

We both laughed because of it. Somehow, it eases the tension that I was feeling earlier.

"Ladies first, you go first." Kai said, now with a smile on his face, a sign that he is now comfortable talking with me.

Okay. Here goes nothing.

"Uhm, who is Kat?"

He paused for a few seconds.

"She's just a friend in the game. I met her randomly in one game then added in the friends' list. Ever since she always invites herself to join our game. She's pretty good so the gang lets her play with us."

"..."

"Come on, Luna. There's nothing between us, if that's what you're thinking."

"Then can you stop playing with her? For me..."

"If that would ease your mind then fine, I won't play with her anymore."

I faintly smile.

He held my hand and pulled me closer to him then whispered, "You know you're the only one for me."

I blushed. Finally, I can be at peace.

"I won't play with Zen again as well. I kinda understand how you feel."

He didn't respond to what I said.

"How did you know it was Zen by the way? I didn't even know it was him until Skye told me. I thought I was just playing with some random player."

"I just know."

"O-okay."

I feel like there's something more between them but I chose not to push it. I can ask him about it some other time. I like that we are both good now and both of our issues have been resolved.

He kissed me on the forehead and said "I love you."

"I love you too." I replied.

He took my hand as we walked down the rooftop and went home.

He actually did what he promised me.

That night in his stream, there was no Kitty Katty that joined our game. The stream went and ended well. I was actually contented with it.

The next day...

It was lunch break at Crestwood High. The cafeteria is bustling with students who are ready to take their lunch. Luckily, me and Kai, along with our friends, have secured a table for all of us.

"Kai, Luna! Here!" Jon said as he was waving his hand in the air for us to notice him.

We walked towards them and put our food in the table.

"It's good to see you again Luna. It's been a while since we've had lunch with you." Ryu said.

"Yeah. I have been busy ever since I was transferred to the pilot section."

"I missed you Luna." Zoe said as she pouts. She was Ryu's girlfriend.

"Aw I've missed you too Zoe."

We ate our lunch as we catch up on things and I noticed that Kai is not that active in the conversation. He's not like this, he's usually a jolly one whenever we are together with friends. I was worried he might be sick.

"Are you not feeling well babe?" I asked him.

"I'm fine, just a lil sleepy."

"Didn't you get enough sleep? You ended your stream early last night and told me you'll go to sleep."

I noticed that Jon and Ryu looked at me but  didn't say a thing. Zoe, on the other hand, just continue sipping on her tea.

"Y-yeah. I went to bed but I had trouble sleeping so I ended up playing some more games then slept late."

"I see. You should probably have a short stream tonight so you can rest early."

"Yeah I will do that."

"I'm just here if you need me. If you feel sick just call me and I'll take care of you."

"Thanks babe, I appreciate it."

The following days I noticed that every time we are together, he's always yawning and looks like he really wants to sleep. I asked if he's having insomnia but he said that he doesn't. He just told me that I don't need to worry about him. But the more I see how tired he looks like, the more I worry about him.

Not until one Friday night.

I decided not to join in his game because I have a school project to do.

I was sitting on my study table, working on my laptop for a project that is due on Monday. Listening to music while having a sip of coffee from time to time.

I was almost done with my project when I received a message from Zoe that says:

"Check Kai's stream asap"
