One Piece: Saiyan's Vast Journey of the Sea

Chapter 1 - Prelude

22 years ago prior to Luffy's first sail to become the King of the Pirates...

(Loguetown – Town Square)

On top of the large wooden execution platform in Loguetown, thousands of people gathered around the center of town.

"I was there amongst in the crowd, I couldn't help but listen to the murmurs of the people to each other quietly."

A fifthteen years old boy slowly moved past the people and stood behind near the front view. He has slightly dark tan skin and black eyes. His hair is spiky and slightly longer tied in a bun, it has two bangs over his forehead while the front part of it has been dyed in silverish gray. He wore his tattered black gi revealing his lean muscular chest and wore torn strapped sandals.

He saw a man, walking in the straight direction and his hands were locked in cuffs. A man named Gold Roger, the famed pirate who successfully conquered the Grand Line.

"That's him, my old captain Gold Roger, the King of Pirates who completed his voyage. I was heard of my former crew has been disbanded one by one some time ago."

Gold Roger walks on the steps towards to the top of the scaffold as the young man sneaked past the people until he bumped into a strange, hooded figure.

"Sorry." A young man replied.

"That's fine." A quiet voice spoke from the hooded figure and turned around to him, revealing his cold and mysterious face.

"I knew that face in the hood, Monkey D. Dragon. I wonder why Garp's son is here to witness the execution of my former captain."

A young man looked over to the other side, seeing the familiar figures including Buggy, Crocodile, Dracule Mihawk, Donquixote Doflamingo, Gecko Moria and Smoker.

Dragon walked away into another spot, leaving him in the attendees.

"Hey, Suncho!"

A young man whose name is Suncho, perked his sense and hears the recognizable voice, he glanced at another young man with red hair and a straw hat.

"Shanks!" Suncho gleamed slightly, giving a hug with him. "I didn't know you were here."

"Shh! Now's not time for the reunion, we better move to the spot where we can see our old captain." Shanks whispered.

They both headed towards the spot between the attendees and saw the Pirate King Gold Roger's execution as he was shackled in chains with two marine executioners standing near him holding long cutlass swords.

"Do you have any final words to say?" One of the marines asked him.

"Would you mind taking these off? They're beginning to take me quite a bit. Please?" Roger politely asked him.

"I can't do that!" He responded firmly.

"Where am I going to run? That's all right. I guess I'm on my own for this one. All right, let's get this over with." Roger kneeled down on the scaffold.

"Hey, Pirate King!! Tell us where the hell have you hidden all of your treasure? Is it in the Grand Line or someplace else? You found it, didn't you?" One of the people in the crowd demanded.

"You there!! Shut up!!" One of the marine executioners ordered him.

"The legendary treasure! The One Piece!!"

Roger chuckled proudly. "You want my treasure?"

"Just shut your mouth!" The other marine ordered the Pirate King.

"You can have it! I left everything I gathered together in one place!" He continued to speak.

"Execute him!!" The Marine executioners both shouted out.
