Your POV

Everyone was tense after Todoroki's declaration of war in the waiting room. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, but nonetheless, it only made me more motivated. I looked at Yaoyorozu and she wore a determined expression on her face, she may have not said anything but deep down I knew she wanted to win as well. We only get so many opportunities to compete in the sports festival throughout our time here in U.A., we have to make it count. As we made our way inside the stadium, we were greeted by a huge crowd cheering us on.

"Hey (N/N)," Yaoyorozu grabbed my arm.

"Yeah, let's win this." I simply responded.

"Can you both get a room?" Mineta gagged in disgust.

"You better watch your back later." I shot a glare at him.

Looking around, you get a feel as to how massive the stadium really is. It's enough to fit thousands of people, as well as still have enough room to have a massive arena at the center. As Present Mic hyped up our class, he began announcing the other departments as well. We put our attention towards the stage in the middle of the venue, and watched pro hero Midnight take center stage. Receiving various reactions from both the crowd and students alike.

"Silence everyone!" Midnight gestured. "And for the student pledge, we have... KATSUKI BAKUGO!"

We all stared at him in shock, out of all people, why pick him to give the student pledge.

"How did he get the position of first year rep..." I sighed in disbelief.

"I mean, that hot-head did finish first in the entrance test." Kirishima responded.

"I didn't think there'd be an overall ranking for the entrance exam, especially since there are those like us who took a separate recommendation examination." Yaoyorozu added.

"Only for the Hero Course exams." a girl from the General Department course responded, clearly annoyed at the special treatment those in the hero course are getting. You can't really blame them either, the hero course has always overshadowed the other departments. Their hatred towards us was valid, to a certain extent.

"That girl obviously hates us..." Sero tried to keep his voice quiet enough so that she wouldn't overhear us.

"Yeah and we have Bakugo to thank for them not liking our class." Kaminari said in a matter-of-fact tone.

Looking back at Bakugo he stomped, hands in his pocket, up the stage and stopped in front of the microphone. Everyone stood silent, waiting for what speech he was about to bring.

"I just wanna say. I'm gonna win." he said nonchalantly.

The other departments erupted into a chorus of 'boos' and rather creative insults, as our class couldn't do anything but look at Bakugo in disbelief. Iida broke off from the line and ran to the edge of the staircase leading to the stage.

"WHY WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING SO DISRESPECTFUL!? YOU'RE REPRESENTING US ALL!" Iida scolded him while doing his iconic karate chop hand motion.

"Not my fault the rest of you are just stepping stones to my victory." he simply responded followed by a thumbs down motion.

A student from Class 1B screamed at the top of his lungs, claiming that he will crush Bakugo. Other students follow suit, hurling declarations of war against our class. I look around to not only see anger, but pure determination from our rivaling class and departments. I felt my shoulder move as Bakugo purposefully shoved it away as he was walking back to his position in line. I was about to tell him off, but he still wore a calm expression. We exchanged glares for a few seconds, before he placed himself back in line.
