Your POV
The rest of the week went by fairly quickly. Not only were we able to adapt to our new school environment, but the class became closer as a whole. We all began gradually improving in terms of combat prowess thanks to Basic Hero Training. I was able to find out that I could do more with my quirk than just amplify movement and strength. Turns out I can transform it into an extension of my body as well as solidify it to create barriers and other practical uses. While I still don't completely understand how it works, progress is still progress. Yaoyorozu has been helping me study my quirk, she was able to find all of these out thanks to her keen observational skills. One thing that we don't understand is how it's causing me strain over prolonged use.
Today we decided to head to school together. I waited for her at the nearest bus stop about 10 minutes away from U.A. she was dropped off by their family's driver.
"Hey, Yaozuzu!" I waved to her. "Good morning!"
Yaoyorozu runs up to me, giving me a quick hug before greeting me back.
"Good morning, (N/N)!" she smiled. "Shall we make our way to U.A.?"
I simply nodded and we began making our way towards school. The walk to U.A. was quite peaceful, just being able to take in the scenery was enough to make someone's day. We stopped by a bakery to pick up a few pastries Yaoyorozu had ordered the day prior.
"Thank you so much, granny Ume!" she said as she paid for the bag.
"Anytime, lady Yaoyorozu." the old lady bowed. "Feel free to drop by anytime!"
"Lady Yaoyorozu huh," I brought up. "Your family sure is known around here."
"It's nothing," she brushed it off. "We've just been getting our pastry produce from that shop, since forever. Granny Ume's bakery had always been well known around these parts. Her specialty mainly involves plum stuffed buns. Would you like to try one?"
Yaoyorozu reaches into the bag and hands me a soft bun that looks lightly glazed on top, after giving it a light squeeze you could feel that it was definitely filled with something. I was about to take a bite, when Yaoyorozu took out her phone and pointed it at me.
"What's with the phone?" I asked confused.
"Oh don't worry about it," she motioned for me to eat the bread. "Go on, take a bite. I want to get your initial reaction on camera!"
I prepared myself and took a small bite out of the bread, my tastebuds were instantly met with a variety of flavors I had not tasted before. The sweet taste of the plum jelly, with whole bits of the actual fruit complimented the warm soft out bread layer along with the sweet sugar glaze.
"Splendid, just as I had expected!" Yaoyorozu put her hands together in excitement. "Granny Ume's plum filled buns never disappoints!"
"No kidding, this is amazing!" I said, swallowing the last bite. "I need to get myself some of these later."
We turned the corner to U.A.'s main gate, but were taken back by the swarm of news press, anchors and reporters blocking the entrance.
"What's going on here?" Yaoyorozu asked, confused at what she was witnessing in front of her.
"I'm not sure, I just hope they won't bother-" my sentence was cut off short when a purple haired lady in a blue formal attire ambushed us with a bunch of questions about All Might. Reporters had their notebooks out ready to take note of any response that we'll give.
"I, um. He." I stuttered, unsure of what to say. "All Might is... big."
"All Might as a professor has been teaching us the fundamental basics of being a hero." Yaoyorozu answered the news anchor. "He has made sure that we, his students, are making progress into becoming future pro heroes. I'm afraid that is all we're allowed to share, thank you for your time!"
