'Welp, looks like we'll have to fight our way out of here.'
Of course, the two girls had to be ambushed.
Well, Piper told herself, they had to fight either way.
The two girls stood up, weapon in hand. Piper spun Katoptris in her hand.
'Ready?' Annabeth asked.
'Ready.'
The two girls stood back-to-back. They didn't go on offense, which would be a suicide mission. Two hunters lunged at them. They went dagger against dagger, sword upon sword. She used her charmspeak side-by-side, urging the rest of the hunters to retreat. It worked - somewhat, because nothing could be easy, could it?
The newer, less trained hunters left, decreasing the number. However, she and Annabeth were still outnumbered.
She managed to disarm the hunter she was fighting. She unwrapped the rope she had tied around herself and bound the hunter's hands with it, before moving on to the next hunter.
Annabeth just had bad luck. Every time she disarmed her opponent, she took out a new weapon! Finally, when she got an opening, she hit the hunter with the hilt of her sword, knocking her out.
Taking advantage of the rest of the hunters still staring, Piper sent her a silent message, gesturing to her with a single middle finger. She knew Annabeth would understand, but moreover, it would irritate the hunters.
And that was half the fun.
'Where's your friend, McLean? Ran away?' taunted one of the Hunters, her face contorted in a snarl.
'No.'
Just then, the hunter collapsed. The hunter next to her looked around before having her feet swept out from under her. Annabeth then took off her cap and leaped at Piper. She ducked and the blonde girl shoved her pommel against the head of a hunter who had snuck behind her.
One by one, she and Annabeth managed to take down all of the hunters, except one. A ferocious battle took place between the three girls.
Piper and Annabeth sent strike after strike at the huntress, who had a hard time dodging them without getting impaled. Finally, Piper found a subtle weakness the huntress had kept hidden nicely and rammed the hilt of her sword at it. Seizing the chance, Annabeth quickly disarmed the huntress of her sword. Piper broke the huntress's quiver, making her bow useless too.
The two girls did a quick fist-bump, and went their separate ways.

Leo's mind drifted towards Calypso as he walked through the forest.
Leo had landed on Calypso's island with Festus one sunny day. Although, as far as he figured, it was always sunny in Ogygia.
He'd love to say he landed smoothly, rescued Calypso, went back to camp, gotten warmly received and could spend time with his girlfriend.
He'd be lying if he said that. In fact, landed was the wrong word.
Crashed would be more suitable. He crashed on Calypso's island, clothes covered in soot (thankfully not singed, though) and Festus bent and broken in various places.
'Need a hand, young hero? Or should I say Leo Valdez?' Came a voice.
It was a voice Leo had wanted to hear for so long. The most pleasing sound in the world. He took the hand outstretched to him, before standing up. Brown eyes met dark ones. Leo looked at Calypso, eyes full of love. She kept staring at him. He thought he'd done something wrong.
