My mother's shrieks ring through the house this is her second time calling my name...Going up the stairs my light walk from earlier turned into a jog. Getting upstairs I was out of breath.
"Yes-m-mother," I say out of breath
"Oh good My dear you were practicing for your upcoming show have you found a partner yet?" She asks me
"Oh yes I have his name is Draco Malfoy he goes to Hogwarts with me," I say smiling at her
"Lovely my dear invite him over for dinner tonight so you both can practice after...and honey you are gaining weight maybe eat a salad for dinner tonight," My mother says with venom lacing her words
"Yes Mother I will Owl him later," I say
"No, do it now."She says to me
"I do believe he is busy right now that's why I said I'd do it later" I regret the attitude lacing my words
"DON'T YOU DARE DISRESPECT ME" My mother says while grabbing me by the shoulders and pushing me up against the wall
I didn't fight it I let her yell, scream, and hit wherever I knew my mouth was going to get me in a lot of trouble but I wasn't expecting bruises where people could see them...
"Now get your fat ass upstairs and shower them cover them damned bruises," My mother says while letting me go I slide down the floor and hold my tears as I got up and bolted to the stairs.
Sitting at my desk I started to write the letter to Draco...
Dear Malfoy,
You are invited for dinner at my house tonight please be here...mother wants us to practice after dinner tonight (Bring food to keep in my room please I won't be allowed to eat much at dinner)

I sent my owl out of the window and then went to the bathroom that connected to my bedroom... I looked into the mirror and saw the black and purple bruise that Mother had left on my right eye...tears stung my eyes but I didn't let them fall I turned the shower on and the water was hotter than hell itself. Stepping in the shower I kept it fast doing everything I needed to do in ten minutes... After I showered I went into my bedroom picked out clothes and then went back to my bathroom to do my makeup and hair...
{Two Hours Later}
I heard a thud coming from downstairs...
"Natalie Darling your friend is here..." My mother calls me
"Be down in a moment" I say looking over at my bed and seeing a bunch of treats and food he remembered
I put all the snacks in my closet and then finished my makeup making sure the bruises were all covered up then I went downstairs..
"Hello Natalie," Draco says smiling at me
"Hi Draco," I say smiling back at me
"It's so lovely to meet you darling my name is Jessica come sit dinner is ready," My mom says
"Nice to meet you, Mrs.Grace," Draco says following us to the kitchen like he's never been here before
"So you are a dancer?" My mom questions him
