Chapter 6
Say what you want, I don't give a shit...
"Why are you looking at that?" I question, ripping the baby book out of his grip.
"Bloody hell. Where did you come from?" Draco asks.
"The door you are bloody brilliant aren't you," I say while rolling my eyes and putting the book away
"Whatever Grace, let's get this conversation over with," He says in a frustrated tone
I nodded, and he started with, "There are seven items according to my father...he has split his soul into seven parts, but I wasn't told what they were..." Draco explained
"So you are saying Voldemort split himself into seven god-forsaken Horcruxes?!" I questioned in somewhat curiosity
"He thought it would be harder to kill him. That way I'm trying to figure out what all of them are, but I can't...Father says it is higher than my rank as a death eater." He says, rolling his eyes.
"Well, ain't that something" I say getting up to grab a book that I've been reading and flipped to a page that mentioned horcruxes and began to read. I could feel Draco reading over my shoulder...
After finishing the chapter, we sat next to each other in silence. We had just learned that horcruxes can be everything from an object, like a necklace, or even a person...
"Merlin above, I hope the person knows they are a Horcrux," I say, letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding
"Yeah, me too," Draco says under his breath
I flop my back and head down on the mattress...I lay there just staring at the ceiling... Fuck... I thought to myself this adventure was going to be Ron, Hermione, and Harry i couldn't join them because of school but they don't know this information yet... "It's best to let Potter and his gang of misfits find out on their own," Draco says when he lays back on the mattress "That's what I was thinking maybe they should find out on their own I mean if you think about it Hermione is always thinking for the both of them." I stutter. Maybe it is fate for them to find out later, but I feel terrible knowing and not telling. Them, but if I must, I will...
"My dear late cousin Regulus tried to destroy one when he was in his 7th year but he ended up dying trying to.." Draco explained
"I'm so sorry that is awful.." I say
"It is alright. I didn't know him but I heard he was like me bonded by family ties to join the dark side to protect someone they love.." Draco's voice faded.
"Listen, you aren't like them just because you have to kill people to survive... It's okay I would too if I were forced because of my family...Listen I promise Harry and I will fight for you so you don't get sent to Azkaban...We have your back plus an unforgivable vow is traceable to our wands even though we did them almost a month ago..." I say quietly grabbing onto his hand
"Thank you, Natalie...Truly you don't understand what kind of trouble this is but I'm glad you trust me.." He says squeezing my hand
"Of course Draco, anytime now we have training tomorrow with the DA. Do you want to stay here again or go to the manor?" I ask him.
"Bloody hell, it's already midnight, Natalie. I'm so sorry," He says like I'm mad at him.
"Why are you sorry? It's okay, you can sleep here tonight," I say with a smile.
"Are you sure?" He asks me
"Of course," I say before getting up to go to the bathroom to change and get ready for bed
