The next day Kasia ran into school after Stiles decided to hang around the police station.
It was only a few months before he graduated and she was counting down the days.
She ran into class before sitting down as everyone looked at her.
She caught her breath before placing her head on her arms that were folded on the desk.
"Missed the bus?" she looked over to see Mason.
"No.
My brother drives me and decided to skip" she said.
"Oh.
Sorry.
You can catch up using my notes" he said.
"I would love to but I think I rather pretend to listen.
I know all this already" she said.
"You know about an unknown science equation?" he asked.
"Yeah totally," she said.
He laughed as she smiled at him.
"You know you're actually really funny," he said.
"Thank you," she said.
Mason smiled before looking back at the chalkboard.
"Hey, Liam do you want to grab some food after this?
I have a free period so" Mason said before looking at Liam to see that he was fully gone.
He was looking at Kasia as control started to seem unnecessary.
"Liam?" Mason said.
"Liam?" Mason said again before looking at Kasia.
"Don't tell me you already have a crush on her" Mason said.
"Maybe," Liam said.
"Are you serious?" Mason asked.
"I'm trying to figure that out," Liam asked as something inside him clicked at the sight of her.
"Stop," Mason said.
Liam looked at him "You don't even know her" Mason said.
"I know but it feels like I do.
It's weird" he said.
Mason looked at Kasia before looking at Liam.
"Don't do anything stupid.
She's a cool girl and I don't want to lose her as a friend because of your feelings" Mason said.

Kasia looked at the chalkboard before yawning from not sleeping much the night before.
Her brother needed help trying to discover if a guy who knew him from fourth grade was an evil mastermind.
She remembered the photo of him.
The man her brother was wary of was exactly her type which made it hard for her to understand what her brother was going on about.
She knew that the people who looked like angels were full of demons but he looked nothing like an evil mastermind.
Soon enough the bell rang.
Kasia walked out before going to the cafeteria to get something with sugar in it.
She walked to the one vending machine in the building before buying a fizzy drink to hopefully wake her up.
She then sat at a table not knowing what to do with her free period.
She would usually go see her dad but the walk there would take up almost all of her time so she just had to find something to do in a building with nothing to do.
"Is this seat taken?" she looked up to see the same guy from that picture.
"No.
Go ahead" she said.
He sat across from her.
"You're Kasia right?" he asked.
"Yes.
Have we met?" she asked.
"No.
I'm a friend of your brother.
He's always going on about you" he said.
"I'm surprised.
We're not that close anymore" she said.
"Yeah.
I'm Theo by the way" he said.
It all started to click after she heard that name.
He used to play games with her a lot when he was younger.
She always was weirdly close to him.
She felt safe around him and even now nothing had changed.
"I almost didn't recognise you.
You're a lot prettier now" he said.
"I mean I was seven" she said with a smile.
"I swear you were a lot older," he said.
"You're two years older than me.
I know you were nine so I was seven or had just turned eight" she said.
They kept talking as she realised that he wasn't evil.
He just spent a lot of time without friends and she understood that.
At least that was what he told her.
