Pietro's POV

I braced myself for a pain that never came. I opened my eyes and saw a green light. I looked around for the source of the light. It was Kamila. She was bathed in green light and her feet weren't touching the ground. Bullets, cars, pieces of destroyed Ultrons, and other debris circled around her. But it lasted only a few seconds before everything fell back to the ground, including Kamila.

"Kamila!" I shouted. I ran over to where she was. I climbed over the cars to find her. She was lying sprawled on the ground, her stomach bleeding. "No no." I murmured. I found her wrist and checked for a pulse. There was one, faint, but it was there. I sighed with relief. I then began applying pressure to try and stop the bleeding. I moved her head off of the rock that it had been propped up against. My hand came away covered in blood. Before I could investigate further, I heard the sounds of metal scraping and then a nearby car was moved. Captain Rogers stood there.

"I got her." He said, kneeling beside me. I nodded and let him grab her. I followed, walking beside him. We got onto the boat and he set her down. One of the medics came over and began applying pressure. I sat down beside him. I looked up, right as the city began to fall.

"Wanda!" I exclaimed standing. I ran over to Rogers.

"Was Wanda in one of the boats?" He gave me a sad look.

"I don't know, kid." I watched as the city began to disintegrate. I saw the Vision coming out of the. And in his arms was my sister. He looked around, saw me, and then landed on the boat.

"Pietro." She exclaimed and threw herself in my arms. We held each other for a while. I looked over her shoulder and mouthed thank you at Vision. He nodded before taking off again.

"I'm alright." I murmured in her ear.

"Don't scare me like that again." She replied, looking up at me. "I can't lose you, Piet."

"I know, Wanda." I kissed her head.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Just look." I replied, and she closed her eyes, reading my memories. "Myslíte si, že se experiment povedl?" (Do you think the experiment was successful) I asked her once she opened her eyes.

"To musí mít." (It must have.) She paused. "Nevím, co jiného by ji k tomu vedlo." (I don't know what else have caused her to do that)

"Proč teď? Tak proč ne?" (Why now? Why not then?)

"Možná to byl jiný druh traumatu než to, o co se snažili." (Maybe it was a different kind of trauma then what they tried to do) Wanda reasoned. I nodded.

Three days later, after we had all been checked out for injuries and cleared, Captain Rogers, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Wanda, and I all gathered in Kamila's hospital room.

"How is she?" Black Widow asked.

"Well according to the doctors, she'll be okay." I reported. There was a collective sigh of relief. "There were two bullets in her stomach. They thankfully missed all important organs, so she'll just have a scar."

"What caused it?" Rogers asked, and no one had to ask what he was talking about. The image of her floating in the green aura flashed across my eyes every time I shut them. "And what do we know about her?" There was a long pause before Hawkeye said,

"She was born in the Red Room. They raised her for years. She was kept isolated from the other girls. Save few," He glanced over at Black Widow. She inhaled and said,

"I was one of those who knew her. They had picked their top students to help train this girl. I took pity on her, and grew close to her. She was almost like a little sister." She paused and took a breath. "Two weeks before I defected and joined S.H.I.E.L.D. she disappeared. They told me that she had died. But," She looked down at the girl in the bed. "Obviously they were lying."

"They gave her to HYDRA." I said not looking away from Kamila's sleeping form. Wanda continued for me, since she knew more of the details.

"HYDRA wanted a young girl to run some tests and test some theories on. Since not many knew her, the Red Room gave them her. I don't know much about the few years in between when they took her and when she turned thirteen."

"What happened when she was thirteen?" Rogers asked. Wanda inhaled,

"They gave her a set of serums." There was a collective intake of breath.

"What kind of serums?" Hawkeye asked.

"These ones enhanced her ability to heal, her speed, her metabolism, and her strength. She's basically a toned down version of a Super Soldier." Rogers raised his eyebrows in surprise. "The other serum they gave her was a prototype for a serum that affected her ability to follow orders."

"In other words, they took control of her mind for seven years." I spat, the words tasting bitter in my mouth.

"What do you mean?" Black Widow asked.

"The serum chemically altered her brain functions. They could literally control her actions from a computer back at the base." Wanda explained. "They used that to make her...to make her their top agent. Second only to the Winter Soldier."

"The Crimson Killer." Black Widow said, realizing where Wanda was going. Wanda nodded.

"The Crimson KIller had over a couple hundred kills." Hawkeye said. "But I thought that she died?"

"Seems to be her thing." Rogers said. "Do either of you two have any ideas on where the green flash she produced came from?" We nodded.

"After their success with Wanda and I, they decided to try it on her. They wanted to make their asset even more deadly. They thought that the..." I didn't want to say experiment. "Their plan had failed. Turns out it did work. It just took time to trigger, I guess you could say." Rogers opened his mouth to ask another question, but a movement on the bed stopped him.
