Kamila's POV

I sat next to Barton in the Co-Pilot's seat.

"Two minutes. Stay close." Steve said. We listened as he spoke with an injured Dr. Cho.

"Did you guys copy that?" He asked.

"We did." Barton replied.

"I got a private jet taking off across town." Natasha reported. "No manifest. That could be him." I looked around below us.

"There. It's a truck from the lab." I pointed and Barton nodded.

"Right above you, Cap. On the loop by the bridge. It's them. Three with the cradle, on in the cab. I could take out the driver.

"Negative. That truck crashes, the gem could level the city. We need to draw out Ultron. I watched as he jumped onto the truck. He and Ultron began fighting. Natasha began prepping her bike.

"I'll come with you." I said, beginning to unbuckle.

"No!" Steve yelled. "Stay on the ship. That's an order." I slumped back into my seat.

"We got a window." Barton told Natasha. "Four, three. Give him heck." Once he dropped her off, he looked over at me.

"Sorry kid." I shrugged. We listened and watched as the fight progressed.

"Clint, can you draw out the guards?" Natasha asked.

"Let's find out." He replied. He looked over at me. "The controls to fire are simple enough. You use the..." I cut him off.

"I know. Just tell me when." He looked impressed and nodded.

"Now!" He exclaimed and I pulled the trigger firing at the big Ultron. The two guards followed as we flew away from the truck. They attached themselves onto the ship.

"Barton." I warned.

"I know." He began to make the ship roll to shake them off. They fell off and then began to fly back to where the real fight was.

"They're heading back your way." I reported. "Whatever you were planning to do, do it soon."

"I'm going in. Cap, can you keep him occupied?" Natasha said.

"What do you think I've been doing?" I watched as the trailer began to fly, courtesy of two bots.

"Okay, the package is airborne. Barton said, seeing it too.

"I have a clean shot." I reported.

"Negative. I am still in the truck." She replied.

"What the heck are you..." Barton said before Natasha cut him off.

"Just be ready. I'm sending the package to you."

"How do you want me to take it?"

"Uh, you might wish you hadn't asked that." She explained her plan and a minute later Steve said,

"I lost him. He's headed your way."

"Copy."

"Nat, we gotta go." Barton said, warning in his voice. I watched as the cradle flew out of the truck and into the back of the jet.

"Tasha!" I exclaimed as Ultron grabbed her ankle, dragging her out of the jet.

"Cap, you see Nat?" Barton asked.

"If you have the package, get it to Stark! Go!" Steve commanded.

"Do you have eyes on Nat?"

Go!" Steve yelled again. He did as he was told. I sighed and watched as the sea flew down beneath us.

"I should have done something to save her." Barton murmured. "It's my fault she's gone."

"No, Barton. It isn't."

"Clint." He corrected me.

"Sorry." I replied looking down.

"No need to apologize, Kamila."

"Really? Because I feel like if I had maybe done more than just sit here being useless I could've prevented her from being taken."

"You were just following orders."

"So were you." I replied, turning it back to what he had said earlier. "So don't blame yourself for doing what you were told. As I was told repeatedly growing up, 'A good soldier follows orders.'"

"Why would someone tell a kid that?" I bit my lip, annoyed at my slip up.

"I didn't have a good childhood." I replied quickly.

"Well..." he began but I said,

"Oh look we're here!"
