Regulus can feel the warm air of the climate around him. Fall coming earlier than it usually does; yet he still loves it as much as he does, Jamie. It's the time of year that he can be without the looming danger of him going back to Number 12 Grimwald Place. It's the beginning of the year, meaning the start of quidditch.Really, it's all Regulus has talked about since he got off the train. The stars illuminate the sky in a variation of configurations. All lighting it up in thousands of small specks. He doesn't hear the door to the tower open behind him. He also doesn't hear the footfalls that echo behind the person who entered the astronomy tower. He doesn't notice the person until strong wrap around him, hot breath hitting his neck, and a head buried in his hair.
"Hi, love." He hears James whisper voice soft and affectionate;almost like honey. Reg isn't sure why this causes him to pause.
Maybe it's the tender tone in the older boys voice, the closeness of the boys' bodies, or the pure fact that James came. He came.
"Jamie," Regulus starts, but James cuts him off by giving him a chaste kiss. His eyes drift close from the contact, and they slowly flutter open when the older boy pulls away.
"Let's sit down, Reg." James mumbles lips only centimeters away from his. Regulus wordlessly nods, still shocked from the kiss.
James sits on the cold, stone ground and motions for him to sit. Regulus doesn't waste much time sitting next to the older boy... or well... more like sitting in between James' legs with his over James'. It's times like these that all the younger boy wants to do is be close to James. To the sun. To his light. To his savior...that's all that Regulus wants; James.
He can feel James staring at him so he looks at the boy. The ghost of a smile brightens Regulus' features. "I'm going to get you out of that house, my star." He feels his blood run cold, and he looks away from the sun; away from the blinding light in front of him. "I'm not my brother, Jamie." His says, voice quiet, barely there. He can feel the tears in his eyes; threatening to spill. James is quiet, almost unervingly so. It takes a moment, but the older boy replies, "I know...." He pauses unsure. "You're even better." Regulus isn't sure what comes over him, but he basicly attacks James....with his lips. James just chuckles and looks at Regulus. "Eager, are we?" Regulus, let's out a chocked laugh. "God's, you have no idea." So there it is the heartbreaking but happy story of the sun and the star that were never meant to be together, but defied the fates in a twisted turn of events.
