Bellus

I lazily yawned in my bed as the first sunrays touched my skin, tingling it. I felt a weird sensation of something furry on my leg, like a lump of cotton candies. As I rubbed my eyes, I saw it was Bellus.

"Good morning, Bellus," I said.

Bellus replied with a lick and a grand smile. Then, she said something.

"Yes, I know it is the day we will embark on a new journey," I replied,

Bellus barked, understanding my words and adding her thoughts.

"Yes, my belle, I will not forget you to take with me. How can I? If I didn't take you then who will keep eyes on them?" I said, winking.

Bellus smiled, that smile lighting my world even on the darkest of days.

she and I practically grew up together. I found her when I was around three, outside my room, with a cute pair of eyes. I took her into my room, placed her on my bed, and gave her some freshly brewed nectar. She licked me, and we talked and understood each other.

Later, "the finest kinds" got to know about Bellus. How could they tolerate it? So, as nosy as they were, they told the leader about it, and the leader called me and dismissed them. He asked me about Bellus, and I narrated the whole story. What I said after that made him startled.

I told him "Bellus is saying she has no home, let her live with me."

"You are saying that Bellus told you? I mean, you understood what she said?" the leader said,

I nodded a yes. He told me to swear in the name of magic, and I did. Then, he slowly, caressing his long snow-like flowing beard, said, "Interesting." After a few minutes of thinking, which seemed like hours for us, he said, "You can keep Bellus if you want to, but you will have to be responsible for her." And since then, we have been inseparable.

Then, she licked my nose, pulling me out of my trance.

"Yes, Bellus, I am getting ready. Wait," I said.

After refreshing up in the wide sunrise of pixie dust, I pulled out my dress. It was a purple-colored one, adorned with a simple pearl around the waist. Simple yet elegant and light, perfect for such occasions. Then, I pulled out my crumina, which was the size of a handbag but could fill my whole wardrobe.

It was gifted by Ethan, saying if somehow a dragon attacked us and we had to move, he would not wait for me to pull out five suitcases. I chuckled at the way he had said that. Whatever he had said at that time, I knew he gifted me because he felt bad when those three of the finest kinds, Ailsa, Fay, and Avery, made fun of me. When they saw I was the only one who still had to carry bags, even the "lowest of the lowly kinds," in their words, were using crumina.

Well, Ailsa is the earth fairy who can control air too, Fay is the water fairy who can control fire too, and Avery is the space fairy who can control water too.

Fay is a male fairy; the rest of them are female and are of our age, and will join the journey to the east with us.

Then, with a loud thud! Ethan entered.

"Even the fairies can forget magic, but you will never know how to use a door, right?" I said irritably to Ethan, rolling my invisible sleeves up and putting my hands on my waist.

"Oh, leave it, Ellie. You know fairies can forget magic. At least you can make those finest kinds forget it, remember?" Ethan said, laughing.

"No, Ethan, not now. They are my favorite, and nearest to my heart. I can't let them go so easily," I said.
