As the sun rejoices, awakening all living beings from mountains to plains to soil, I slowly yawned. Last night, Ethan and I sang fairy songs till late. After returning, I turned on my bed. This room is mine with a small shell-shaped bed. In my world, the room chooses its owner. The leader had told me that when they returned to paradise, after holding me the first time, this door appeared itself, Surprisingly, it was different from others. While others were shaped like flowers, air, or sky based on different elements, mine was only based on a sea shell. Well, I didn't mind it; my room looked majestic with flowers flowing freely overhead and small floating lanterns acting as light. The stars adorned its walls. "It looks perfect!" I again said mesmerized, its beauty never fails to astonish me, it is immune to the passage of time.
yes, they found me beside the river, beyond which lie the mountains, and maybe that's why I feel good whenever I sit there, the stardust river, where we sat the last night, Ethan knows that, if I am sitting there, then that means, I'm at my lowest.
as I was lost in my trance, again my thoughts lingering in the abyss of the last night's song, I felt something wet on my cheeks, turning back, I found it was Bellus, my cutest Hainu. It looks like a large cotton candy but with wings.
"What happened, my belle?" I asked. Bellus barked as if telling me everything, Yes, okay, So, the master came back from the east and was asking for all the newly turned 16-year-olds to gather in "vita virent." Okay, thank you, Belle, my cutie! You saved me!"
Yes, I can talk to animals but hasn't told anyone else. Only Ethan and the leader know about that. Other fairies can only feel nature and the sound of air, but I can talk to them. It's not like I'm afraid to tell them; I just feel that maybe I would be left out more when they would get to know this side of me. I don't want that. Yes, I fight with them, raise my voice against them, and punish them for that. But I can't even think of going away from them. They are the only family I know, even when they are the worst you could ask for.
as I was thinking about the time I spent with them I heard Bellus whimpering,
"Yes, Bellus, I will never leave a chance to annoy them in the future too," I said smirking.
I got up from the bed and wore a knee-length blue dress that went perfectly with my white hair. Then, I saw Ethan coming through the window.
"You know you can come through the door, right?" I said annoyingly.
"Ellie, you know the door is boring. Why walk when you can fly?" Ethan replied, then he paused "Sorry, Ellie, I didn't mean it that way." he added quickly...
"Leave that, don't worry. It's reality, and anyway, I have accepted it. Let's go to Vita Virent. I've heard the leader returned," I said forming a faint line of smile.
"Yes, that's true. I was coming to tell you. Wait! Who told you? It can't be the finest kinds, and I am informing everyone to come," he said, rubbing his neck, totally confused ... and then I saw his eyes twinkle and followed his gaze and found him looking at Bellus.
"Yeah, I know you have your spies. I have to be more alert from now on," he declared with a dramatic voice as though he was about to be attacked,
I started walking toward Vita Virent, Ethan, as always, was blabbering, and I noticed the unnoticed surroundings. The calm air hiding the storm within, the snails hoping to reach their home at the fastest pace, and the trees dancing to the rhythm of the universe. I feel this music, this magic in every part of the world around me.
"It's magical and beautiful," I involuntarily muttered.
"Yeah, I know, Ellie, I am magical and beautiful. You should be thankful to the universe, as they gifted me to you," he said proudly.
