My head is throbbing. Wait, are they Fay and Et... Ethan? Why are they fighting?
"Stop, Ethan and Fay," I said with a loud voice.
"Oh, you're awake," Ethan said, wiping off his tears. "I was so afraid," he said, holding my hand.
"Why were you fighting with Fay?" I asked,
With an orangish glow in his eyes, "It was all his words that hurt you, and then he dares to come here to check up on you." he said,
I said, holding his hands tight. "Look into my eyes, Ethan, breathe in and out." He did as I said.
"Now, close your eyes," I instructed, and slowly I saw that flame becoming dim again. I sighed out of relief. Then, I looked toward Fay and awkwardly smiled.
''I should have been angry, but no, I couldn't. I don't know why, but I just don't want to...″ I was thinking as I heard his voice
"Hey, Ellie... uhm... how are you?" Fay asked.
"I'm fine, I guess. Just a headache," I replied.
"Hmm... o...okay, I guess then I gotta go," Fay said.
Just when he was going outside the door, I said, "Stop." He halted at the door.
"If you don't stand up for yourself, no one will stand up for you," I said.
He nodded, as if understanding my words, and closed the door slowly. As Fay exited my room, it was like the first time Ethan found his breath. He sat on my bed and started caressing my hair.
"What happened?" he asked.
"I don't know. You and I were close, and that loud voice said you were shy, and it was strong, the intensity. I couldn't bear it, and then I fainted. I don't remember what happened after that," I explained.
"I carried you to your room," he muttered, looking away.
I just felt shy, to remove the awkwardness between us, "Do you think we should inform the leader through 'the voice'?"I said,
"No, not right now. Let's first reach Aurelia Emotio. What if he finds out and calls us back? It's our first time exploring, and it's only one more sun, and we'll be there," Ethan replied.
I nodded, thinking he was making sense. Also, I didn't want to miss this chance to explore, one thing I always wanted to do, and Ethan knows that too.
As he started to leave, "E-Ethan, can you, like, live here? I mean, I'm afraid of my dreams and myself, please."I asked him nervously,
He shrugged, saying, "Okay, meus albus, I will, as I promised you years ago. I will be there for you through thick and thin, always."
Then, he snapped, and there came his blanket and pillow. He slept on the couch while I was on the bed. As I was changing my positions,
"What now?" he asked,
''I'm unable to sleep. Can you sing a fairy song, Ethan, please?" I requested.
"Yes, I would've, but I need inspiration. A fairy song, you know, is different. It flows with the heart," he explained.
"How about you sing the promise we made? You sang it on my birthday night. Pretty please, that's my favorite," I pleaded.
He smiled and then started to sing. I again moved with his musical eyes, no... I mean, musical lyrics. Yes, better, it was lyrics that made me flow...
"The promise we made,
by the riverside that day,
you were a tiny kid,
