Author's pov

Jungkook had no intentions on taking Taehyung along with him and all he needed was a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ for a reply.

”If you have no energy then there is no need for you to come along, very well” Jungkook was on the verge of getting ready to leave the room as he heard the male talk once more, a quite irritable presence across his face.

”Husband or not, I have no interest in you whatsoever” Jungkook said straightforwardly. He wasn’t one to really care whether or not he upset people he wasn’t fond of.

”You don’t remember anything? You want me to tell you everything? Sure” Jungkook didn’t have anything good to say anyways so he might as well say what was going on.

”As long as I am alive, you and I will have no good relationship. Understood?” He scoffed out, least interested in building a relationship with such a person.

”Since you wanted me to tell you, well here it is. Me and you were set up for marriage, I had no intentions in getting to know you so I told you how I felt straight up during our second dinner together. I told you I didn’t want to get to know you, I was just in it so I can get the crown faster and that the moment we got married we wouldn’t be close, I’d be in my own room and you in yours and I had no need to speak to you once we got married. Though, you were also very curious and figured something out about me that I didn’t know anyone to know so I told you to run away or I’d personally take care of your family. You were also just in it for the money…there’s more but just talking about you is a bore. May we go now?” Jungkook uttered

Taehyung listened intently to Jungkook's words, his brow furrowing in confusion as he tried to make sense of the situation. He couldn't fathom why Jungkook seemed so indifferent and hostile towards him, especially when they were supposedly married. His mind raced with questions, wondering what he could have possibly done to elicit such a cold response from Jungkook. As Jungkook spoke of their arranged marriage and his lack of interest in building a relationship, Taehyung felt a pang of sadness and disappointment even though  it was not for him.  He had hoped for something more, something genuine and loving, but it seemed that was not to be.

As Jungkook continued to recount their past interactions, Taehyung's heart sank further. He couldn't believe that their marriage was purely a transactional arrangement, devoid of any emotion or connection.

Despite the overwhelming wave of emotions crashing over him, Taehyung remained composed on the surface. He nodded silently, trying to process everything he had just learned. Deep down, he couldn't shake the feeling of anger and heartache, but he knew he had to stay strong. With a forced smile, Taehyung finally spoke, his voice tinged with sadness and resignation.

"Thank you for telling me, Jungkook. I... I understand." Taehyung whispered softly, his voice barely audible as he felt a pang of sympathy for himself in this unfamiliar world. He couldn't comprehend why his counterpart, the ancient Taehyung, was enduring such hardships with Jungkook's cold demeanor. Despite the lack of understanding, Taehyung acknowledged that there must have been a significant reason for his past self to agree to the marriage.

Reflecting on his own preferences, Taehyung admitted that he wouldn't tolerate even a hint of coldness from someone. Yet, he understood the gravity of the situation and the importance it held for the ancient Taehyung. With a heavy heart, he resolved to endure the emotional distance from Jungkook.

Now, Taehyung's focus shifted to Kim's family and their circumstances. He felt a sense of responsibility to help them and to find a way back to his own world. Determination flickered in his eyes as he made a silent vow to uncover the truth and offer assistance wherever possible.
