Author's pov

With a simple nod, he spoke no other words. If the male did not want to change then he would not force them to either. Jungkook went to the market every other day when he had the time to do so, yet it felt as if he hadn’t gone for an eternity. The moment Taehyung had gone into a coma, he decided to stay in the walls of the palace, watching and waiting to see if the male would ever wake up. Did he wish that they would wake up? Not really, yet he couldn’t deny the fact that he was most definitely at fault when Taehyug’s situation happened.

Jungkook’s gaze halted every once in a while to look at Taehyung. Jungkook knew that even if he was going to be a ‘terrible’ spouse or a distant one, then the least he could do was get stuff for the male.

He looked at the array of options around them and then at Taehyung, watching to see if they found anything interesting. His steps came to a stop as he turned to look at them, “Would you like something?” He asked, crossing his arms behind his back as he tilted his head to the side at an angle.

”If you like something then we shall buy it” he added, narrowing his eyes at Taehyung, trying to read the expression on their face in order to make out what was going on through their mind.

Jungkook were to be lying if he said he wasn’t searching for someone in particular but he also had to come to terms with the fact that his soon-to-be was shopping with him, so he should at least put some attention on them while they’re out.

He wasn’t going to be rude in public and nor was he just going to ignore the male while they were with him, he didn’t like Taehyung but he would not ignore their presence either unless it was mutually necessary. The person he was to see could wait, it’s not as if it was too important at the moment.

With each step, Taehyung passed by several wonderful shops, mesmerized by the handmade jewelry and clothes that looked far better than the branded ones in his own world.

He was particularly enchanted by the intricate designs on the clothes and jewelry, appreciating the craftsmanship involved. Among them, a hanbok set caught his eye, and he couldn't help but think it would look splendid on Jungkook.

When he heard the prince offer to buy whatever he liked, Taehyung thought it would be a good idea to get something from the beautiful clothes shop. "Hmm, can we go to that shop?" he asked, pointing at the elegant establishment.

Turning to the prince with a small, sweet smile, he reached out his hand, taking advantage of the moment. Since few people were noticing them, he felt it wouldn't be frowned upon to show a little affection in public. After all, they were soon to be married, so such displays shouldn't be an issue for either of them.
