Chapter Nine

It was after dinner and we showed his parents to their room. We were in our room now and the second Kyle shut the door he pushed me against the wall and started kissing me. I moaned inside his mouth as his hands were wandering my body.
"We can't. Your parents are here." I mumbled under my breath.
"They're all the way down the hall. They can't hear us." He kept going on undressing me. Once he finished he picked me up and carried me over to the bed and plopped me down. "Do you think it went well?" I didn't hear a response come out of Kyle's mouth so I peeked my head out the door to find Kyle gripping the counter with his hand on his stomach. I ran to him with concern in my eyes.
"Kyle! Is everything ok?" He nodded his head at me.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine I just have a cramp." He turned around and grabbed his clothes to get dressed. I slid my shirt over my head and pulled my shorts on. I climbed into bed and opened my book. It was a Colleen Hoover book who was obviously one of my favorite authors. I was concerned about Kyle but didn't want to question him. He turned the light off in the bathroom and walked to the bed and got in.
"Are you gonna be ok?" He looked at me like I just asked a stupid question.
"Yeah! I'm gonna be fine baby." He turned his lamp off then kissed me.
"But that stuff doesn't just happen babe. I don't want it to be something severe and we do nothing about it."
"Destiny. It's ok. You don't have to be a nervous wreck." He rolled over on his side and ended the conversation. I shut my book and got up. He sat back up and stared at me as I headed for the door.
"Where are you going?"
"Since you won't listen to me, I'm going to sleep in another room." I opened the door and started down the hallway and could hear him following after me. I entered the other guest bedroom and started taking the pillows off the bed.
"Destiny get back in our room." I didn't listen and got in the bed.
"Fine I'll just sleep in here with you." I rolled my eyes as he got into the bed with me. He leaned over and wrapped his arm around me. I slapped it away and scooted farther away from him.
"Destiny what is going on?" I sat up with a serious look on my face.
"My dad had the same exact thing happen to him and he left it unnoticed and had a stroke that killed him. I don't want that same thing happening to you." He wrapped me in his arms for a hug and held me tight.
"Baby. That's not gonna happen. I'm not at as much of a risk as he would have been. I also didn't know your dad passed." I let go and rubbed my eye, stopping the tears that were starting to flow.
"Yeah. It was really hard on me because I was super close with my dad. My mom got remarried to a man I hate and I don't go around her anymore."
"Let's go back in our room baby." I got out of the bed and followed him back into our bedroom then fell asleep in his arms again.
