Chapter 3

Melody's POV
I awoke to the smell of bacon and pancakes my favorites, I smiled to myself as I slowly got out of bed. My body ached and I didn't want to wake up the sleeping Olivia next to me. So I quietly made my way to the door and exited the room and made my way downstairs. I could hear soft whispers from the kitchen as I approached it. As I walked in my Grandma was seated at the table while my aunt was standing at the oven taking the food out of the pans and dishing it onto four different plates.

'Who's cooking smells so good?' Marie questioned and I could hear our stomach rumble.

"Good morning hun, looks like you got up just in time" my aunt said turning toward me with a smile. "Olivia still asleep?" She asked as she handed me two plates and I nodded as I made my way to sit next to grandma setting her plate in front of her.

"Yeah I didn't want to disturb her. I know my body aches and I didn't know if hers did as well" I said softly as I stuck a piece of bacon in my mouth admiring the taste. She nodded before sticking Olivia's plate in the mircowave and sitting next to me.

"So now we start the knowledge part of everything. I will explain your werewolf part since she isn't one and she will explain your witch part. First werewolf's are delicate but vicious creatures, we try to live as normal life as possible as most humans do know of our existence in certain areas. Most wolf's are part of packs, Olivia and I are apart of the Mystic Moon Pack and have loved every single moment of it. Now the Moon goddess mom will explain everything about but she plays a big part with us, she chooses our mates, the ones we are fated to be with. Sometimes it starts off rocky trust me, but she doesn't choose someone wrong for us. And sometimes mates can get rejected but only if they accept it. But if they don't and their mate let's say cheats or runs off the one left behind will die from a broken heart so it's better to accept if rejected. The moon goddess will grant them another mate, the other not so lucky." She spoke as we all ate and I listened to every word, I didn't even notice Olivia had joined us. My aunt began to continue,

"Next week, after we get you a bit trained in both your werewolf form and your witch knowledge, you will have a meeting with our packs Alpha and Luna. Along with their son. We hope you join our pack as we accept those new or lost to help them through it and show them they aren't alone." She said and I smiled. As we continued breakfast she told me all the ranks in a wolf pack, and boy there's a lot to live up to in such short time.

The werewolf Alpha is the leader of the werewolf pack. Being an Alpha means holding the highest position in the pack. The Alpha is also the strongest in the werewolf pack. the Alpha werewolf is often born into the title. The alphas mate is called the Luna, she serves as the mother of the pack. The werewolf Beta is second in command. Hence, the beta is the second strongest and the second most important title a werewolf can have. A werewolf Gamma is usually in charge of the warriors. They serve as the general and train the pack to make sure that everyone is fit for battles.

Omegas are servants who work in the pack house. A werewolf Omega usually does household chores and runs errands for their master. An elder is a werewolf with great experience and knowledge of werewolf packs. In the past, they may have held such high ranks as alpha and/or beta. The hunters are those werewolves who are exceptionally skilled at tracking and hunting down prey.

Scouts are responsible for warning the pack of dangerous territory outside the clearing, if any. Scouts are mainly werewolves known by neighboring packs and visit around often. Rogues are werewolves that have either been kicked out of their pack or left on their own free will. Rogues don't have a set appearance apart from in their wolf form, they have long fur. They also have a bad odour radiating from their bodies.

A lot of information to remember but it was all so amazing to me. I was different and I could become apart of a world so special. Another thing Aunt Matilda told me is we don't find our mates till we turn 21 and if they turn 21 before us they instantly know and have to inform us and then we mate. I smiled as we finished up the food and I did the dishes for grandma again.

"Alright dear now time for you to learn some things about being a witch." My grandma said and I smiled big and followed her into the living room sitting down next to her wolf's. The put their heads on one leg and I pet their heads as my grandma now began to talk. "Well you know about witches in the sense of spells and potions but it becomes much more then that. Your full power will unlock at 21 but for now we need to begin practicing. This book will have many spells and different things to learn. For us we can see certain visions, we can talk to the moon goddess, we can grow different plants, we can even get animals to talk to others. Our power is very special, and it's something you learn as you go not something I can instill in you unfortunately."she spoke softly sitting next to me. She had to empty plant vases on the coffee table. She opened up the book she had been carrying around since yesterday and opened it to the first page. It was a spell to grow any kind of fruit or vegetable.

"Say these words with me while looking at that pot and think of a fruit or vegetable" she said and I nodded and we both began to read out the spell

"Aloe liv ha du mas" as we spoke the words I thought of a strawberry bush and it began to grow before my eyes sprouting fresh strawberries. My grandmas grew into a cherry bush. She cheered as she watched our plants grow and Matilda and Olivia joined in. "You are gonna learn so well" my grandma spoke and hugged me.

"I can't wait to learn everything" I said softly before hearing Marie chuckle. 'We are excited to meet our mate too!' She shouted and I smiled. This was all a lot to take in I'll admit, but I feel like life just got much more exciting.
