Chapter 2

Melody's POV
I had been back on the road for about 4 hours when my phone began ringing, I answered it putting it on speaker phone. "Hello grandma" I said softly with a smile.

"Hello sweat heart, where about are you?" She asked softly, I sighed.

"Still 4 hours away. But I should be there just before sunset." I said and I heard her sigh.

"Okay sweetheart. Please call when you are five minutes away. You are coming to my house for a few weeks before we meet someone very special for you" she said and I could hear a smile in her voice. Someone special for me? I thought to myself before she continued talking "I will see you soon. And I will do my best to explain most of everything before the transition begins okay?" She spoke softly again and I sighed.

"Okay grandma. Because I am very confused." I said letting my smile slowly drop. "Whatever is about to happen is why I no longer have my parents" I said quietly almost inaudible.

"I know sweetheart and I am so sorry. You will know everything soon. I love you. I will see you when you get here" and as I told her I loved her she hung up. I sighed as my mind raced with questions, what am I?

Finally I had reached the small town my grandmother lived in, 'Welcome to Mystic Moon, Home to All' I smiled and quickly called grandma as I inched closer to her house now five minutes away. "Hello?" Her voice spoke softly.

"Grandma I am five minutes away!" I said with excitement and heard her chuckle into the phone.

"Alrighty dear, I will be on the porch" she said and with that we ended the call. I drove carefully and took the turn down a semi long dirt drive way, it was surrounded by beautiful trees, and as I reached the end of the drive way a beautiful light blue 2 story Victorian home came into view.

I saw a small women standing beside the front door I instantly smiled bigger, and quickly parked my car beside hers in the grass. I quickly turned the car off and jumped out before running to my grandma. I engulfed her into a hug her arms instantly wrapped around me. "You are so grown up dear" she said as tears threatened to pour out her eyes. I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. "No time for tears right now we can do that tomorrow. For now happy birthday dear we need to grab those books and journals and head inside." She said and I nodded before walking to my car and grabbing both suit cases. I grabbed my phone as well before shutting the car door and following my grandma inside.

The inside was just as beautiful as the outside of the house. My grandma loves her plants and animals that's for sure. She had three cats sleeping on different spots of a tall cat tree, 2 wolf like dogs sleeping on the big couch, and different cages covered the rest of the room along with many shelf's with books and bottles of different looking liquids and dirt. I smiled to myself as she showed me the way upstairs, she walked down the hall passing doors some opened and some closed with locks on the outside. As we made it to the end of the hall she unlocked the door and a spiral staircase lead us to a beautiful attic room with a bay window. "This will be your room for now. Now time to explain what's about to happen." She said as I set the suit cases down she opened the one with the books in it and grabbed one. It was a very old looking book and very big. She opened it before taking a deep breath.

"As you keep hearing tonight is going to be your first transition, it's definitely very confusing when your parents hid so much from you for far too long. I tried to tell you on your tenth birthday and that's when I was shunned by your parents. Melody, you are a silver werewolf but not only that you are a witch." She said softly as we both sat on my bed. I looked at her eyes wide and mouth open.

"What do you mean?" I asked "I thought werewolf's and witches were just a myth grandma, that's what father drilled in me for years." Now that I thought about it, father only began telling me those things after grandma supposedly passed.
