Chapter XXIII | Mysterious Luna

In the days to come, Malachite had been working on some experiment of his while he had been trying to figure out the situation with Luna specifically. Yet there was something that was rather odd going on because now she had been avoiding them. Vlad obviously found this to be quite off himself because she usually is out and about. Even then she was avoiding her own family, let alone the very own mortal that was within their Estate.

Ever since the situation was found about Zain and his rather, well obvious intrusion into their Estate and let alone stealing some of Luna's stuff and Vlads chemistry set. Vlad was standing with Malachite, which he just said "I've never really seen this happen before". He added "She never isolates herself immediately, let alone after a small conversation". Malachite shrugged before he said "I Don't know exactly what is going on with her".

Malachite added "She's an odd one, her personality is... strange and confusing sometimes at least for me who is trying to understand the woman that she is". Vlad chuckled and he replied "There is no understanding Luna, she's her own kind". Whatever that was going on, it was quite odd because it was a circumstance that was unseen in their lifetime. In the meantime, Luna was standing on her own balcony looking over the river.

That was when her mother appeared behind her and all her mother said was "We're quite worried about you Luna, you've never really acted like this before". Luna replied "You wouldn't understand much about it, That.... Creature makes my skin shiver". Her mother stated "I am aware of the situation with Zain but don't let that affect your life". She added "besides, you have a brother here that'll protect you from him".

Her mother added "Plus you also have that guy studying vampirism and let alone being a part of our own common life at night... I assure you this is not a mistake". Luna looked at her own mother and she said "If this is not a mistake, then what is going on then". Her mother replied "I don't know Luna, this is... this is a situation that I had not foreseen". She added "But I assure you with what is going on, there's people here for you".

Luna rolled her eyes as she continued to stand on her balcony before she said "What if he comes after the family.. Zain, we all know that he won't stop". Her mother came over to her and said "He'll have to get through Vlad in order to harm you". She added "Besides that, he'd have to get through Van Helsing in order to harm you". Implying Zain has two issues that he'd have to get through, just to achieve his own goals.

Luna looked out at the river and she said "You know it's only long till" her mother replied "Luna I am sure enough that our friend already knows you're a Vampire". Luna stated "I know... I just refuse to believe that he accepts that we're vampiric". Her mother chuckled as she said "Only the Van Helsing line accepts Vampirism and our folklore". She added "They've studied our kind as much as we've studied their family".

Only then her mother said "However, a Van Helsing has not married a Vampire in the history of their lineage and usually the family considers it an abomination". Luna sighed and she said "Where are you going with this mother" and her mother had chuckled. Her mother replied "Ain't it quite obvious, we see it coming luna it's a matter of how long".

Luna had looked at her own mother before she asked "What do you guys see? I dare you speak what you have to say" her mother only replied "You and Van Helsing". Luna remained silent as her mother stated this before she said "Leave my room". Her mother stated "Luna... You do not have an idea on what you are ignoring yet alone you willingly deny it".

Luna remained on her own, she refused to believe everything that they were telling her and that was because she knew the truth and there was no way that this was real. Yet it was real and it was a series of events that was really causing her to question everything. Although, they had not known about the situation that was about to come up for them.

However while Luna was arguing with her own mother, and downstairs in the laboratory where Ezekiel, Malachite and Vlad were discussing something. As Ezekiel was doing his work on some sort of cure for whatever he decided to work for a cure on. He was thinking to himself when his computer all of a sudden began to go off.

Ezekiel said "That's odd" as he slid his chair over and he began working on the computer and he said "The perimeter has been breached... possibly an animal". Vlad stated "Pull up the feed... I want to be sure it's an animal" and Ezekiel had tried to do so. Ezekiel stated "That's odd... the Camera's not working, it's like someone destroyed it".

Malachite stated "It's not an animal who destroyed the camera" which the two looked at him now and only then Vlad stated "I know it's someone sent from the Brits". Vlad stated "Ezekiel start getting things wrapped up, I'm informing our parents". Vlad disappeared within a blink of an eye, Ezekiel stated "Yea I'll start closing up" and he started to clean his lab now.

Although it was rather profound that they had just noticed that there was a breach in the security perimeter but it also meant that it wouldn't be long til they're at the estate. And for Vlad, he was making sure that everything was on its high alert. It was going to be a long night for all of them now because of the entire situation.
