Chapter XXIV | There's been a breach?

In the wake of the recent disclosure of the breach, the entire family was meeting in the foyer once more, and both Alexandria and Alexander were standing together. Vlad stated “Alright listen up, we’ll make it brief and simple” and he looked around now briefly. Vlad stated “There was a recent breach in our perimeter, we’re at a high risk now”.

Luna said “What the hell is going on, I get brought down for some stupid thing” and Vlad stated “The perimeter has been breached… someone is trying to infiltrate”. He added “At this point, the entire family is at risk now because of it”. Luna stated “Who the hell…” and she then said “Oh fucking great see I knew he was going to do this”.

As she stormed off now and Alexander said “Luna” Luna still ignored him now, all that Malachite said was “I’ll go after her” he followed her now. Alexander stated “Just fucking great our family is at risk, my daughter runs off now because she’s mad”. Alexandria replied “Relax Alexander, we’ll get through this together” as Vlad nodded a bit.

Vlad stated “Anyways I’ll be running the house sweep, all of you… don’t come out of your guy’s room. It’s for your own safety that I do this alone”. Implying that Vlad was willing to take whatever the risk was in order to protect his own family. Although he was walking, he heard something run and he saw a brief shadow now.

With this, he was determined to chase after whatever he saw and he was quite fast, mainly due to the fact that he spent the time chasing things around the Estate. He knew the entire house like the back of his hand and he knew ways to counter them. While he was chasing after the man, he ended up finding himself at a dead-end, rather in the library.

All he could really say was “Hold on, he couldn’t have easily disappeared in the library. Like this is a dead end in general” he was now irritated with. There was legitimately no way that this person could’ve disappeared with a dead-end. Vlad went back to where he originally saw the shadow but then he said “Hold on… what if it was an illusion and he”.

A bookshelf was pushed onto him and Vlad managed to hold it now, before he pushed it back and the person had run off which now, he had gone after the person. He stated “Hey, stop you damn moron” as he kept running after the person. Although he had to admit, whoever this person was, he was quite good at running.

Vlad continued to chase this person and eventually the two ended up on the rooftop where it was getting close to the final few moments. Vlad discovered the person who was looking down at the ground and he said “Give up already… you got no where”. The male turned around and said “Your family will pay” as he grabbed his own dagger.

Vlad replied “Game will be played” as he grabbed his own staff out, which he then said “I came prepared for a hand-to-hand fight” he chuckled a bit now. The two began to fight on the roof now, and while both sides put up a fight. It was getting intense because they ran across the roof, back and forth trying to defeat one or another.

Meanwhile in the house, the family heard a lot of commotion on the roof which they tried to ignore as much because they knew that Vlad was doing something. But they also knew that he was probably fighting the intruder, now Alexander would’ve gone. However he also knew that he possibly could be put at risk if something went wrong.

Vlad also acknowledged the importance of his fathers role in the family, thus why he sacrificed his own work and act’s to protect his family. Although he also knew if something happened to him then, his family would be at risk itself in general. While the fight continued, the masked person stated “Give up, we all know your family can’t avoid fate”.

Vlad stated “I ain’t giving up, my family will be safe as long as I am around” and the masked person replied “Zain is going to have her one way or another”. Vlad replied “See I knew you were sent by that royal brat… he really thinks his harassments will get her”. The masked man stated “Oh no with his new plan, he will succeed this time”.

Vlad argued “I’ll have to be dead first before he gets a chance” and the masked person stated “Oh yeah that’s the exact plan” and the person began fighting Vlad more. Which it seemed like now it was the fight for Vlad’s own life now. Vlad continued to be defending himself, he was losing ground which was something that never happened before.

The masked assailant only said “See, you're weak… you can’t even defeat me” Vlad stated “Even if I die tonight… I will still continue to protect my family”. He then added “My spirit will continue to live on in this estate, unlike the rest of the mortal world”. The masked person said “I’ll see you in hell because I'm condemning you there”.

Vlad chuckled and he said “hell doesn’t exist, why do you think my family has lived on for centuries… If hell truly existed then we would not be here”. He got the upper advantage and he started attacking back the male and he said “Yet if anything, you’re losing”. However the male then stabbed him in the heart with a wooden stake and Vlad stood there.

The Assailant stated “Checkmate, bitch” and Vlad chuckled as this happened before he said “My work has only begun, you just finished my entrapment”. The Assailant replied “Just die already damn it, you should not be living this long”. Vlad replied “Oh I am dying, just rather slowly, see unlike the media… a stake in the heart takes longer to kill us”.

Vlad then grabbed the guy and threw him off the roof in return and he said “Enjoy the fall” as he watched the person fall to the ground. Now he just looked at the stake in his chest and he said “I guess my time here is done now” he stated as he sat down now. He got to see the last thing he hasn’t seen in quite some time, he watched the sunrise on the horizon.

Seeing the one thing that he hasn’t seen in quite some time, rather changed something in him and he just grabbed a necklace of his and he said “To my family”. He continued to watch the sunrise and he argued “At least, I did the best that I could to protect them”. Eventually Vlad had succumbed to the injuries that he had sustained, primarily the heart.

Yet his death was felt throughout the entire house, although they had not assumed it was what they thought they had felt but they didn’t realize what happened. However, when it comes to light, then the family will be hit hard.
