Okay so just before we get into the chapter.... Who should I pair Jenna with cause obviously she's gonna live in this book.

I just want her to be happy and get to live like she should have in the show but idk who to pair her with, I really don't like her and Alaric together so they are either one not gonna get together at all or two break up at some point probably will lean more towards one ngl.

So out of those choices who do you guys think she should be paired with?

Also you never see TVD fics where John is actually a good father so in this fic he's gonna be a good father to Bree at least... considering that Grayson was a horrible one to her.

Saturday rolled around before Aubrey knew it and was getting ready for her meeting with Isobel for lunch. Aubrey was admittedly a little nervous about meeting her birth mother.

She was sitting at her vanity fixing her makeup. She went with a more natural look not wanting to seem like she was trying too hard.

JJ as if sensing her nerves walked over and gently placed his thumb under her chin and tilted her head up to look him in the eye, "no matter what happens today I am going to be right there beside you and it will be okay."

Aubrey gave him a soft but grateful smile then he bent down slightly and pecked her on the lips. Making her blush just a tiny bit "love you Jay." She whispered as he pulled away.

"I love you too, Rey." he kissed her on the head and then let her finish getting ready. Aubrey smiled as she turned back to her vanity to finish getting ready. She knew that as long as she had him by her side that everything would be okay.

John had told her that Isobel would be picking them up and they would be going into the next town over for lunch as to not raise questions as to who Isobel was and all that and yes John would be joining them as to not make Aubrey uncomfortable having lunch with a complete stranger even if the woman did give birth to her.

After John had told her the truth everything had started to make sense to Bree, the younger Gilbert man had also acted more like a father to her than Grayson ever did and now she knew it was because he was her biological father. But it was Graysons fault that he never did anything about it, if Grayson hadn't done whatever it was that he did. John would have taken Bree in and raised her himself after he knew the way his brother and sister in law was treating her.

The couple made their way downstairs once it was closer to time to leave, Elena was out with Bonnie and Caroline so she wasn't there to ask questions like the nuisance that she is. John looked at the two, "ready? She will be here in a few minutes."

Bree nodded, "yeah, we're ready Uncle J." The man nodded at them as he waited for the message that said that Isobel was there. Which came through about two minutes later.

The three walked out of the house and to the nice black car that had pulled into the driveway.

JJ squeezed Bree's hand as she took a deep breath as they approached the car, which she shot a small smile at him for before squeezing his hand back. John opened the door and let the two teenagers into the car first, they had agreed not to draw attention to Isobel which is why she didn't get out of the car.
