Of Games and Confidence.

1984.

Bobby was the first to greet you when you had arrived at school on Monday, after the little 'situation' that you've had caused at the country club-event. Daniel had already went to his classes with Ali, while Bobby and you were talking right at the entrance. To your surprise he was inviting you to hang out with him next weekend at Golf'N Stuff, without the boys. A date, your first one.

Johnny and the other Cobra Kai's were watching you two from a far, Dutch and Tommy had a bright smile on their face, while Johnny had to stop himself from interrupting the both of you. Bobby told you all about his mood after you embarrassed him with the garden hose. Apparently he got so mad, that Bobby had to stop him from chasing after you. To Daniel's luck, he left shortly after with Ali, so Johnny couldn't find him at least.

During lunch-break, Bobby got over to the table that you were sitting at with Ali, Daniel and Susan. 'Hi guys!', he waved at the whole table but the only one who returned his gesture, was Ali. You looked up at him over your shoulder, smiling. 'Hi!'

'Is it okay if I kidnap this one for this lunch break?' Bobby asked with a big grin, looking directly at Ali and Susan. Daniel was glaring at you as if he was trying to forbid it. 'Sure, but keep Johnny away from her!', Ali agreed with a little condition and gesturing to Bobby, that she would be watching the other group. You laughed a little bit, shaking your head and avoiding Daniel's mean eyes on you. Standing up from the table you said your goodbyes and followed Bobby to their table at the back of the cafeteria.

Dutch, Tommy and Jimmy quickly got up and shuffled around to make some sitting-space for you. Only Johnny remained unmoved in his seat, shooting you a glare that meant 'Death'. You gulped, sitting down quietly right next to Bobby. 'Hello, dear guest!', Tommy said in an overdramatic voice and bowing to you, making Dutch nearly fall from his seat from laughing. 'Everyone skilled enough to embarrass Johnny is very much welcome to join our witch-coven!' Now the 'Glare of Death' was directed at Tommy and he quickly stopped laughing and sat back down.

While watching the different dynamics between the guys, you noticed Bobby staring at you with a slight smile. He hadn't even touched his food yet. 'Want to come and watch us train in the Dojo after school?', he whispered, only for you to hear. Your cheeks turned a slight pink and you felt them heating up. 'Sure!' After your response, Bobby's hand slowly closed around yours, catching the attention of the whole table. Suddenly slamming his food-tablet on the surface with a loud bang, Johnny jumped up and left the cafeteria in a hurry, without a word. 'Ignore him, he's still a bit moody.', Jimmy smiled reassuringly at you.

Bobby led you into the Cobra Kai Dojo after school, the others already up front. You let him go ahead to stop for a minute and look at the pictures at the wall and the big paper-figurine in the hallway. 'John Kreese'. A big, grumpy soldier was portrayed in all of them, with short hair and a mean look. Turning around, that one big grumpy soldier suddenly stood in front of you, glaring you down.
'And you are?' His big, muscly arms were crossed above his chest, a weird-looking cobra tattoo on his right arm. Hopefully he didn't pay too much for it because it looked horrible. Looking up to meet his eyes, you introduced yourself and held out your hand in a friendly gesture. He merely looked at it, huffed and turned back around to go back to the others.
He looked too deadly for you to drop a sarcastic comment, so you kept your mouth shut. Bobby waved you over to the next room but before you could follow him, Johnny went past you and bumped hard into your shoulder, making you stumble to the side.

'Asshole!', you muttered under your breath.

'Mister Lawrence!', grumpy, mean soldier called him out and he stopped in his tracks.

'Yes Sensei!', he answered and held his arms in a straight line besides his body.

'Since when do we treat our 'Guests' with disrespect? Especially .. little girls?', Grumpy Man raised an eyebrow and his eyes switched from Johnny, a few steps in front of you, to you.
