Arjun's POV:
Our Gurudev Kripacharya always used to say, "Nothing is as furious as fire, so one should always stay at a safe distance from it." But that day, I felt like going back to Gurudev and tell him how wrong he was, for in my opinion, even the God of Fire would appear docile in comparison to his daughter, our Yagyaseni.
And, where were Majhle Bhaiya and Jyeshth? Jyeshth seemed quite worried while leaving. Was everything alright? Hadn't something untoward happened somewhere? These thoughts kept eating me from inside.
Panchaliwas anxiously pacing inside the cottage. Every time she heard someone'sfootsteps outside, she looked at the doorstep with hopeful eyes. Her continuouspacing was increasing my anxiety too.
Itold her n no. of times, "Panchali, why don't you sit for a while."But she would look at me with her fiery eyes. If eyes could burn, then I wouldhave become pile of ash then.
And not only me, my brothers, the best sword-man Nakul and the best axe-man Sahadev, who had the guts to face army of billion soldiers singlehandedly, did not dare to even come inside the cottage. Someone had rightly said that, all the bravery of a married man is limited to outside the premises of the home.
But as time was passing, we were really getting worried and there were ample of reasons for us to get worried. We were in the middle of the woods, which were infamous for being an abode to all kinds of demons and evil powers. Our dearest cousins, who had tried to gift us death on multiple occasions, were waiting for the opportunity which they could use to cause us harm. Every now and then, I felt like going into the woods to search for my brothers, but every time Jyeshth's warning, "Anuj, I am going to look for Bheem. Look after Panchali and others. Arjun, I am counting on you."
Unable to stay inside, in front of the prying eyes of Panchali, I came outside the cottage and went to my brothers, Nakul and Sahadev. I looked at Sahadev, only I know how badly I wanted to ask him, if he had seen any premonition related to our elder brothers, but my heart was not ready to listen his answer. Perhaps Sahadev understood my predicament, and said, "No, Chhote Bhaiya, I did not see any premonition this time."
"Then, why are they taking so long?", I asked with frustration. Nakul was about to say something, when we noticed silhouette of two persons. Without wasting another moment, all three of us strode towards them and clung to both of them.
Thetaller person said to the shorter one, "See Jyeshth, that's why I wastelling to walk quickly. How frightened our brothers are due to our absence?"I immediately separated from them and then looked at them from head to toe. Once I had ensured that my brothers were absolutely fine, I said with a satire, "Yes we were scared, I won't lie in that matter, but now I think, it's time for you to get afraid."
Both Jyeshth and Majhle Bhaiya looked at me puzzled. I added, "Our fire princess is waiting rain fire on both of you. So, both of better cook some valid excuses before you meet her."
Sahadev, closing his eyes, pretended of having a premonition and said, "I see clouds of great trouble looming over both of you. And from those clouds, fierce fire is going to rain on you." All of us including except Majhle Bhaiya, laughed out loud. Majhle Bhaiya just kept looking at our faces.
