"And do you Ella Mccarthy take David Willson to be your lawfully wedded husband?" The priest asked as we all looked at Ella expecting an answer

My heart was racing in my chest. What if she said no?, what if she changed her mind and leave Dad heartbroken again like what Avery did

"Yes I do" Ella's voice rang through the entire Chapel and the place went wild with applause

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride" the priest said and everyone went crazy as Dad and Ella kissed

My eyes started tearing up and I cried happy tears as my dreams of having Ella as my Mom had finally come true

"Woah Babe, what's with the crying?" Jace asked as he wiped my tears away and I shook my head

"It's nothing. These are just happy tears" I said and he nodded slowly

"Happy tears huh?, I still don't get why people cry when they're happy" he said and I squeezed his hand

"You'll get it one day" i said and he chuckled

"I'd like to see you make the famous Jason Astor cry" he said with a smirk on and I gave him a bored look

"We're done" I said plainly and instantly that sweet smirk on his face turned into utmost confusion

"Wait, what?" He asked and I laughed before patting his hand

"Babe I'm joking" I said and he heaved a sigh of relief before pulling me into a tight hug

"Never ever say that to me, OK?" He asked and I nodded

"Of course. But are you crying yet?" I asked and I felt him frown from behind

"You almost had me" he said and I laughed

The reception was held in one of the fanciest hotels in New York and everyone knew about it, even the media was present

One by one people came to give boring speeches that they had prepared and I nearly fully slept during one slow guy's speech

Jace on the other hand was fully awake and patted me every two seconds to make sure that I didn't start sleep talking.

Guess he was used to boring speeches and stuff since he always did his Dad's job when he was absent

"And that ends the speech-"

"-wait" I said cutting the host and everyone turned to look at me. I gulped down hard when I felt those eyes on me

"Do you have something to say?" He asked and I nodded before looking at Dad and Ella who gave me loving looks

"Yes please" I said and everyone started cheering when I walked towards the stage

The stage was huge and the crowd was massive. There were bright light everywhere and I know realised how cold the place was

"Umm" I started. Realising that even the sound of my breathing was heard by the loud mic

"I'd like to say thank you to all those present. From relatives, to friends, strangers and even the media team. You've helped made this day a success" I stopped for a brief moment to see if everyone was listening, and they were

"The past months have been a roller coaster and I'm sure most of you here present know of what happened" I stopped again before continuing

"Honestly I didn't know that we could make it this far. I thought that would've been the end for all of us" I said as the memories from the past months came flooding in
