Jimin

Tonight's date was everything Jimin needed. The feeling of that kiss is still lingering on his lips. During dessert, he can hardly focus on whatever Taehyung is sharing. His full attention is on Yoongi's hand over his knee, softly petting him even though his eyes are focused somewhere else. Like a part of him is trying not to pay attention but his body naturally feels the need to keep him close. And Jimin knows exactly how that feels. He's supposed to go slower when meeting someone new. He usually is very careful! But Yoongi... he's so different to everyone else. He can't help to feel comfortable with him.

When it's finally time for him to leave, a loud noise is heard. He can also hear the muffled argument of a girl and a man. He tries to follow the sound and his eyes look up. Before he can ask, Yoongi is already giving him the answer.

- They're arguing again. Our neighbors should seriously get a divorce

- They've been like that ever since Yoon and me moved in!

Jimin pulls a chair from the table and stands on it trying to get closer to the ceiling and hear a little better what's going on.

- Damn, you really like to gossip!

- Shhhh

- Okay...Can you understand what they're saying?

Jimin closes his eyes and a particular sound makes him have an immediate reaction. He gets down from the chair and walks out the apartment. Yoongi follows him realizing he's walking up the stairs to the next floor.

- Jimin, wait! What are you doing?!

- He's hitting her. I'm sure of it. I could hear it!

- You can't just walk in their house and intervene! What if he hits you too?!

- Let him try, I'll mess his face up

He keeps walking but Yoongi holds him back, trying to make him understand the stupid thing he's suggesting.

- And then what? If you beat him up all you'll do is make him angrier. And that woman will have to live with a man even more mad than before. Believe me, the few times we called the police it was for the worst. He'd spend one or two nights in prison and then come back twice as violent

Jimin can tell Yoongi is only trying to protect him and the woman from making things worst. He can see he has the best intentions. But his eyes look up. The heated argument is still too loud to ignore. He bites his lip and considers taking another step. But instead he tries to relax and pretend it's okay. He really hates shit like this.

- Okay. You're right. I'd make things worse

Yoongi is clearly shocked to hear him say that so calmly. They walk back to their apartment where Jimin can finally pick up his stuff to go home. He makes sure to give Yoongi a goodbye kiss. Not as lovely as the one they shared before but still enjoyable for both of them. Tae is the one that walks him outside while taking the trash out. And only after walking for half a block, Jimin hears him run up to him.

As he turns, Taehyung jumps into his arms and hugs him tight. He was not expecting that. Confused, he hugs him back. This side of Tae was hidden before. He seems like he's been holding this hug for a while.

- Uuuuh... everything okay, Tae?

- Thank you

- You're welcome?

- Don't tell Yoongi about this, I just couldn't help myself

- Okay...

Tae pulls away and shows a boxy smile with glossy eyes. So confusing. Yoongi wouldn't get mad if he knew either way. He doesn't seem like the jealous type and it's just a hug! A very random one but still. They finally part ways and Jimin can ride the bus home. He didn't feel like using the bike tonight. He tries to sleep. Tries to rest. But the time flies by so slowly. And he can't stop thinking...
