I was now helping this mysterious girl jump across the lake for her to get on the other side with me.
"Come on just jump it's alright, I've got you! You won't fall, I promise". I assured her by gripping her skinny, small fingers between mine tightly.
"Okay, here I go! 1..2..3" she shouted, as she took a massive leap across the lake with her eyes closed.
As she jumped I held on to her hands tightly, and she carefully landed perfectly, but completely out of breath.
"You alright their!?" I queasily whispered to her.
"Yeah, I guess so thanks for that really. I thought I was going to be stuck their for another hour or so, if you weren't there to help me out." she muttered, trying to get her breathing back into the right pace again.
"Sorry, I didn't quite catch your name love?" I politely asked her.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. My names Katie, Katie Haslett. Let me save you asking the next question which I know is going to be, what am I doing here blah blah blah. Well, the answer to that is that I've run away, and I'll only tell you why if you tell me a bit more about you." Katie said looking directly into my eyes, as she finished speaking.
Runaway, so she's runaway and come to a forest? I mean I don't know much about runaway cases, but to a forrest all alone. Though if I think about it, this place makes the perfect runaway spot. You could hide out here, fetch your own fire and have no one find you.
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Katie. I'm Harry Styles, and to save you asking me what I'm doing here. I sadly don't have the answer to that, I absolutely have no idea what the hell I'm doing here. Genuinely, one moment I was home and the next I've woken up in a middle of a forrest and I just have no idea how this has all happened." I explained plopping my self down on the ground again.
"Wasn't really expecting that to be honest Harry, I mean how could you not remember anything?! Maybe you have amnesia, and you slept walked your way through to a forrest, and you don't actually remember doing any of it at all." Katie excitedly spoke, sounding more than serious with her some what logical theory.
I felt relaxed as Katie didn't find what I told her, stupid or worrying. Of course it was worrying that I didn't remember anything but she didn't make a big deal out of it, but tried to think of a reason of how it could of happened. I admired that about her, was quite a turn on.
"I doubt, I slept walked my way all the way from Cheshire to the middle of no where Katie. Although I was wondering if you could help me find my way back, or just simply help me out remembering stuff." I sighed on the verge of tears because I felt so helpless not knowing anything.
"Aw, hey it's alright. I'm here, I have all the time in the world now that I've run away, which I'll let you know why sooner or later because your situation sounds a lot more worse than mine. Listen, I'll help you think all of this through but first don't you think we should find a place, like a hut near by somewhere to stay the night?" Katie spoke plopping beside me, and putting her arm around me in a comforting manner.
Boasting myself help, I stood up grabbing Katie's hand in mine, and started to trek our way through to find somewhere to stay the night since it was going to get dark very soon and we were both absolutely knackered.
