"Run, we have to make it onto that boat. Hurry." The familiar raspy, whispery voice encouraged the small orphan to run in the peer.
Y/N gasped in fear as they ran. They couldn't let those snakes catch them. They couldn't. They were shaking and clearly exhausted but they had to keep running.
They couldn't be caught. The serpentine would kill them if they did. Or feed them to those demons.
They felt relief when the ship they were looking for came into view. Just a little farther and maybe they could-
"There you are, twerp!" The hissing voice of the fangpyre called from behind them. Y/N looked back and gasped in fear.
Wrayth looked back to see the serpentine chasing the child and gritted his teeth. He took a deep breath before turning to Y/N. "Child, I know you are not fond of it but we need to get to that boat at all costs." He stated, still floating around them.
Y/N hesitated, looking at the boat and serpent before nodding in agreement. They took a deep breath and focused as best they could while still running.
The fangpyre shouted in protest as gusta of winds pushed it back. But it couldn't do anything. Finally Y/N reached the large ship and began scrambling to get on board, using a small gust of wind to finally push them in.
Y/N panted as the adrenaline from the chase died down, leaving exhaustion. Wrayth sat next to Y/N, watching the child's form.
"Rest, child. We are safe now. Rest." He implored. Y/N nodded sleepily, yawning as they curled up to rest. They didn't know where the ship was headed, but anywhere was better than Ninjago.
