7. Yeah No, I'm Not Going Out Like This

I do school online for a day or two. I know I can't return like this, the school would go on lockdown and the WDF would be called on me. I have to call the school administration and tell them what happened. I go over to my phone between periods and dial 32000, JH administration. "Thank you for calling Outpost 3 Junior High, how can I help you?"

"Hey, it's Lukas. So I definitely didn't get turned into a Murder Drone..."

"That's terrible! You're gonna have to stay home from school for today and we'll tell them what happened."

"Thanks."

At the end of the day, checking my socials, normal stuff, I see a viral post about an announcement that came on during school. It's a video with the caption "Ain't no way" I press play, and... "Hello Junior High students and teachers. This is a precautionary announcement. If you see a Murder Drone with a red hoodie, brown hair, gray pants, white and red tennis shoes, and glasses, do not run or call the WDF. We received a report from Lukas Patrick that he got turned into one, so it's most likely him. Thank you." I sigh in relief, knowing I can finally come back to school.

The next day, I, well, return to school. It goes pretty normally, other than nobody talking to me at all. Lunch, however, was horrible. I went to Ben & Mike's Grill & Bar, my favorite restaurant, and as soon as the waitress came over, she screamed and called the WDF. This is going to happen a lot. They arrive, realize it's me, and make an announcement over the loudspeaker in the bunker, saying basically the same thing as the school said. The waitress comes over again, apologizes, and takes my order. I get the same thing every time: a cheeseburger and fries. A pretty basic meal, sure, but a cheap and quick one. I barely make it to 5th period on time, and the rest of the day goes completely normally, and so does basketball practice.
