6. Maybe the Real Lukas Was the Friends He Made Along The Way

"What the hell?! How!" I- I don't even know what happened. I'm scared, mad, confused, surprised, and so many other things all at the same time. "I'm one of them! Explain!" I grab K's shoulders and shake him back and forth.

"You were infected. The last two months you felt you were getting distanced and started getting more violent? That was trying to make you one of us. But you seem to be very resilient, still your old self in a way. It's complicated, but you're the first one to be fully infected. Others will be in a day or two." He calmly explained to me. Now it all started to make sense, why I was getting so tall, why I was becoming more violent, but it didn't change me. I lost all my friends, everything sucked over the last couple of months but this is the climax of it all. The beginning of a second life. I'm not myself anymore.

"Ok I get it, I'm a Murder Drone now, but can you get out of my apartment? I need to go see my brother." He leaves my apartment without saying a word, and I begin down the hallway. That same announcement that played plays again, and they get constant updates on my location. I make it to the WDF office and knock on the door.

"Who is this?"

"Hey, it's Lukas. My brother's in here."

"Come in!" I walk in and look at the secretary. She's scared of me, just like I was scared of them, but I keep pushing and enter office 3. Alex screams and hides under the desk. The WDF member talking to him stands up and grabs a shotgun.

"What are you doing here?"

"It's Lukas. I'm coming to see my brother Alex." Alex slightly unhides himself, before realizing that he's being protected by the WDF member and fully coming out of hiding.

"L-Lukas? Is that you?"

"It's me. I promise I won't hurt you. Other guy, let's make a deal. If I hurt him, you get to shoot me. Alright?" He nods in agreement, and I get to hug my brother, who is now 11 inches shorter than I am. I still love him. I'm still Lukas, right? Right?
