(Sorry I haven't updated this book in a LONG (hehe long) time. I wasn't busy I'm just a lazy person)

*Kelseys P.O.V*

It's been a week and I'm still living with Niall in Louis moms house. Smooth Kelsey smooth.

Louis little sisters love me! They always nudge me to play dolls with them and fix their hair.

I haven't kept contact with my dad at all. I feel like I should. Should I tell Niall? No he looks so cute when he is asleep I won't wake him up.

I quickly and quietly walk out the door. I run to dads.

I open the door. Wow it isn't locked. Dad was sitting at the table. God it's a mess in here! There is beer cans and potato chips all over the place.

He had his head down and was crying. "I'm sorry I left dad I just was mad." I said. He shook his head.

That's not the reason he is crying. A envelope was beside him. "Aren't you going to open that?" I asked him.

He rubbed his eyes and opened it. He read it carefully his eyes watered. "He's coming home Kelsey." He cried. "That's good! That great! Why are you sad then?" I asked in concern. The letter is about Lane if he is coming home from the army shouldn't that be good?

"Come outside Kelsey." He said. We walked out to the porch. He sat in a white rocking chair beside me.

I opened the letter.

Dear Mr. Benson,

Your son Lane Benson was in a tragic attack. He did not die but is injured badly. Lane is paralyzed from the waist down. Because of his condition he will be returning home.

I started crying on controllable. Why Lane? Why! He was a good guy why him? My heart was sore.

I'm happy he is coming back but in a wheel chair! This is going to be hard. Dad walked over to me and sat beside me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

I dug my face in his chest and cried my eyes out. I heard footsteps. Niall.

"Sir, I'm sorry for taking your daughter with out permission. Kelsey are you okay? What's happening?" He asked with concern.

I got up and walked to him. He wrapped his arms around me.

"Niall son, you make my little girl happy. And if she said you aren't a player then you aren't. I should of believed her at first. I'm sorry for going hard on you. It would be my pleasure for you to take her out with all my will." Dad said.

A huge smile appeared on my face. Nialls face was as happy as it gets. "Thanks sir!" He said. "Please call me Ken." Dad said winking at me.

It's nice to have these boys get along.

The next day my heart broke as I watched Niall and Dad build a ramp for the backyard door.

No one would ever picture that there. It just didn't go. Just then a car pulled up. We all stood on the side walk.

Niall put his arm around me. Dad stood quietly beside me. *beep beep beep* the car lowered closer to the ground.

I ramp came out. A girl rolled my brother out on a wheel chair.

I didn't know what to say. I just stood there quiet. I stared at him. He kept his head looking at the ground. I can tell he won't be the same. Nothing will.

Dad rolled him to the back yard and up the ramp to the house. Still I didn't talk to him.

He sat in the corner in his chair looking at the wall. I walked up to him quietly.

"Hi Lane." I said. "Hey princess." He smiled. That smile. It could make a girl melt.

"Are you going to introduce me to your friend?" He asked. Niall. Niall walked over to me.

He stuck his hand out. "Hi Lane I'm Niall Horan!" He said shaking his hand. "Hi Niall! You take care of my princess she's trouble." He laughed.

Lane went to bed without food. His health is concerning me he looks awful. The color in his face had drained out and he just stares at the wall.

I cuddled up close to Niall. "You think he'll be fine?" I asked him like a little kid. "I don't know Kelsey. Just get some rest and don't think about t." He said. How can I not think about it!

Niall walked me up to my bedroom and kissed my forehead goodnight.

I stared at the ceiling. Things will be different now
