Inside the glow came a very warm colored fire.
'But it was August' Caelob thought.
The woman laid him on the couch gently as she left to grab some things, it was here Caelob was able to scan everything in the house. Hardwood floors complimented the popcorn ceiling, stuffed animals and plushies kept it lively. In her hand, the scrapbook that he tried to pry, now closed away on an old bookshelf.
"Hope I'm not taking too long." She called out from the other room.
"Just peachy," Caelob chanted.
She came back holding an odd medical kit and set it down next to her. She began to examine Caelob's leg, softly pressing around pressured areas.
"Tell me where it hurts," she said softly.
Caelob sat quietly, a soft jolt came from his body as a sharp pain exhaled from behind his ankle, she found it. Quickly she let go, then softly continuing at her monitoring of the wound. From the oddly looking medical kit, a small canister of paste was revealed. Upon opening revealed a very minty but fungus-like smell, with a small sample she rubbed it together with both her hands, applying to where Caelob's ankle was injured. After a little while, he noticed a small glow coming from her hands.
"Aah!" He jumped a little startled.
He began feeling numb from where his ankle was hurting. What he saw next blew his mind away, but was too relaxed to react so sudden.
"Your hands," Caelob muttered. "They're-"
"Indeed, they are," the woman nodded.
Caelob began to put one piece to another.
"You're that wiccan lady aren't you?"
She looked up giving a tiny smug, her dimples pressed into her cheeks.
"You know of my work?" She said.
"Not really," Caelob muttered. "But my brother does, he says you have a book that helps you talk to imaginary friends. At least that's what my brother says."
"Is he part of my class?"
"No, he had another teacher, just across-"
He paused for a moment remembering his actions.
"Across the playground from your classroom actually."
The lady listened in with wonder of her mysterious persona as Caelob chattered on.
"He must have seen or heard it from one of my students then I take it," She replied.
"Umm, so, does it really teach you how to understand them...? Hay wait a minute that's right, I don't think that's something to have around the children. You know, I think that kind of thing can be dangerous."
She gently clamped on Caelobs ankle, he jolted in pain.
"And you came to snatch it because it's not safe or was there something else you wanted? Believe me child if it wasn't I wouldn't have been doing this for so many years...there's more to it than just keeping the children happy."
Caelob looked at her puzzled.
"You mean there's more it than just talking to imaginary friends?"
She looked up at Caelob.
"Why nab an old textbook such as this? Its contents don't concern you."
